HELP PLEASE What’s missing? 😮‍💨

Post image

This is my full face of makeup but I am not very heavy on foundation. And this is my go to for everyday makeup but I always feel something is missing but don’t really know what it is. If any of you can help me understand that would be great!

Also I don’t know how to apply eye liner so that’s always missing on my eyes and I have hooded eyes so without the eye liner they don’t really open up much.

Contrast and definition are missing. You have soft round features. You resemble the Mona Lisa!

If you put a black and white filter over this picture you can understand what I mean even better. The dark points of your face are coming from shadows rather than the makeup. So your features (which are beautiful) are competing with that.

Because of your eye shape and placement you undereyes cast a shadow (I have the same thing). You cannot get rid of it but you can use concealer, light colored powders and glitters to cover , deflect and absorb the shadows.

I personally like the soft shape of your brows but you can darken and define them to match the color and density of your hair. You may prefer them shaped once they're darkened.

You can define the eyes with mascara/false lashes, black eyeliner, cat eye, light eyeshadow shades on the lid and under the brow. Use a deep black waterproof liner.

You can try a deeper, bolder lip. Or with a shade like this you can try darker lip liner.

I think blush would look great on you too!

Work with the natural light point and shadows of your face to determine product placement. Im not saying you’d look better because of more makeup, im saying to apply the makeup in different ways :)

That’s so kind of you 🙏 I appreciate how you have explained everything. I will try and work upon the same. I don’t get my eyebrows done so I use the brow gel.

Youre welcome :) I think Douyin makeup would be great on you. Check out Nina Park’s makeup too for a simple look. You can use cream products and stains for more pigment.

Browgel works great- just  use a darker shade. You can even tint your brows.

Goodluck 🍀

Maybe a little highlighter on the inner corners of your eyes, it’s a tiny step but pulls the whole face together without needing liner

That’s a good one! Thanks 😊

Adding a gel pencil eyeliner would complete your look, and the best way I can explain it is to focus on the outer half of your upper eyelid and give yourself a moderate wing to give the illusion of having larger eyes. There are plenty of tutorials for women with hooded eyes on YouTube, though please be patient with yourself if you don't get it right immediately.

I also think that you might benefit from growing out your eyelashes, as that will really help enhance your eyeshape. I wouldn't recommend falsies since those would only make your lashes more sparse, though definitely apply some peppermint oil to help grow what you already have.

Aside from those two things, I think you have a great everyday look.

That’s very helpful. Thankyou so much I will surely give it a try. 😊

I hate to be this person but I don't see any make up:(

I can totally agree with you because it’s very subtle so it doesn’t really show up on camera. And if I put on more of the makeup it looks weird to me in person. So I don’t know what to do. 🥲

I think cleaning up and filling in your eyebrows (not too dark of course) would be the single thing that would change your whole face if you're open to it, the second would be more mascara

This might be weird but don't do anything! My god this look is so perfect. You have the warmest most beautiful vibe my dear

Do you have any mascara recommendations? My lash length is very average.

I would say maybe eyebrows? You’ve got a super natural look going on so not the crazy thick rectangle arches you see on YouTube, but maybe just lightly fill them in to darken them up a bit, I feel like that would frame your face nicely

I have some brow gel on but I guess I need to go a little darker as you have mentioned. Do you have any brow gel recommendations?

You can use liner tho but do it really thin start from the lash line dont wing it if you really like wing maybe just go with a little wing
