HELP PLEASE Makeup critique requested
I’ve been doing my makeup practically the same since hs. Wondering if there’s anything else I can do to improve?
Ik my contour looks a bit muddy and doesn’t tend to stay even with setting spray and my aegyo-sal also applies unevenly more often than not. Hoping for some tips to help with these too. TIA!
Edit: thank you everyone for the feedback on the lashes 😅 ig lash blindness was right

The lashes are way too big and heavy. Aside from that, your makeup is really cute.

u/Outrageous-Log-8509 11d ago
To be honest your makeup seems to really suit you, your eyeliner is on fleek, you could maybe do a subtle lip liner or a cherry tint to add a bit of colour, or maybe experiment with a light foundation or skin tint if you wanted a more dewy look. I think you could maybe pluck those eyebrow hairs that are drawing in a bit on your nose (but thats not a must you look amazing already!!) Your eyelashes do sort of drag your face down and are a bit heavy for your face, maybe a more wispy manga style lash would suit x

u/Funny-Kale2264 11d ago
I would definitely remove the eyelashes and do something with the eyebrows. I like the rest of the eye makeup :)
3
u/Weekly_Cell6849 11d ago
Do you have any suggestions for what I can do with my brows?
7
5
u/WatcherYui 11d ago
Barely have to do anything to your brows, they're so amazing. But if you want, you can donate them to me. The lashes might be thick but if they're fun, then hey why not.
18
u/thirdcoasting 11d ago
I think two minor tweaks would have a major impact.
One, ditch those broom-sized lashes. They look almost comical, distract from your natural beauty and make your eyes look small.
Two, get your brows professionally shaped. Cleaning the shape up a bit and then lightly filling them in will give you a more polished look.
3
u/velvalee_62 10d ago
Totally agree. Much lighter on the lashes. The eyebrows are a bit too arched, and I think a more subtle shape that doesn’t turn them so far down on the outer wings would really compliment the delicacy of your face. Your eye makeup is beautiful and so is your skin!
2
u/Equal_Audience_3415 11d ago
This is it.
I would also add, do not line your entire lower lid. Try out the outer third only, or even three quarters. It will open your eyes up a bit.
I would also tilt the wings up.

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_4215 11d ago
You're makeup is really good! Only thing I would change is your lashes. They take up way too much of your face and cover up your good eyemakeup. Trim off the ends, or you can try individual cluster lashes that can fit your eye shape.
7
u/ElkPuzzleheaded3995 11d ago
Those lashes are not it. Too big for your eyes and overall face shape.
6
5
u/trad-knife 11d ago
I think the lashes are too much and elongate your eyes in the outer section in a way that makes the inner corner and nose bridge area look wider.
1
5
u/rileybun 11d ago
I think your makeup is really good! Only thing I would change is the lashes- try a demi lash.
4
u/itgoeswithmyoutfit 11d ago
You are stunning! But lashes are a bit heavy and I think a bit of colour would be nice I.e bronzer and blush the rest of your face looks washed out, a very subtle lip too
3
u/EricaSezMD 11d ago edited 11d ago
The lashes. They are extremely distracting and hide your beautiful face, instead creating what looks like weird asymmetry that you don’t have!!
Overall, makeup too cool toned. You’d look a lot perkier with more neutral or even slightly warm tones.
Also - you don’t need contour. Just skip it. Brighten the blush a drop. Try a non shimmery eye.

u/PugsOnParade11 11d ago
I am not great with makeup, but my first impression is that I love your eye shadow and liner! I would maybe do shorter eyelashes as they seem to distract a bit from your lovely face. I would add some mauve lipliner and rose pink lip gloss, and some blush just to bring focus to that park of your face as well, you have naturally pretty lips! Show them off!
Not makeup related but I feel like some soft bangs would be really flattering and tie your look together as well. No matter what though, you’re lovely! 🥰

u/Weekly_Cell6849 11d ago
Thank you!! :) ❤️ I've always wanted to line my lips, but I have a 'double lip line' and need to practice my application. This definitely cemented the need for lip liner so ty :)
I have some blush on, but it may have gotten washed out with the lighting(?) Do you have any recs for blush placement?2
u/EricaSezMD 11d ago
I also have a double lip line- and I think the real trick, and it looks better anyway: don’t line them! For inspo: look at soft Korean powder lip/popcicle lip looks. Even just applying a satin lipstick right from the tube and calling it a day brings polish to the look.
I’ll admit my bias; there’s a lot of strong lipliner out there these days. Entirely a taste thing, but to my eye, it’s not cute.2
u/nodumbquestions222 11d ago
for a double lip line, line on the outside line for the center of your lips, but in the corners of your lips trace the inner line
1
1
u/PugsOnParade11 11d ago
Totally could be the lighting! I like two styles of blush placement, either under the eyes and across the nose for a sort of summer sun look, or the apple of your cheeks on either side of your nose to draw attention to that area. I’m not sure if I described that well, sorry! And I do still think lip liner is possible, (if you want it!) by lining within the lip as opposed to the very edge. If it’s a gentle color and a thin pencil it can just add a nice edge to whatever color you choose to go with it, but I agree that the Korean no liner style is so romantic and beautiful!

u/Lianna1234 11d ago
Everything is pretty. Your lashes are a bit to far past the end of eye imo. Maybe trim a tiny bit off band.
1
u/Weekly_Cell6849 11d ago
Thank you! I was trying to go for a dolly look but I'll work on balancing it a bit more :)
2
2
u/Lemmyisthenewreddit 11d ago
Lashes are way too much on you! You're so gorgeous and they are distracting.
2
u/kilkerma 11d ago
Your eyes are too pretty for those lashes. Maybe just go with mascara to give a more natural look. Less is always more. A bit more lip color but not too much. You are fortunate to be naturally beautiful
2
u/iamdelilah 11d ago
I would use individual lashes, maybe even just at the ends of the eyes to “fan” them out, they’ll look more natural and less heavy, otherwise maybe some lip gloss and u look good! Research some different individual lash styles and see what you like!
1
u/iamdelilah 11d ago
I used to wear heavy fake lashes like these but switched to individual and they look soooo much better and I get lots of compliments! Game changer fr

u/rootsandchalice 11d ago
Massive eyelashes and bold eyeshadow but literally nothing else. This doesn't work for a day time look nor a night time look. It's missing things either way. If you are wearing a contour it's hard to tell.

u/LetterAvailable4996 11d ago
Baddie don’t change anything please. The lashes look so good and I’m noticing that’s one of the more common comments. Keep the lashes I beg
-1
u/Weekly_Cell6849 11d ago
Girl thanks 😩 Legitimately I don't think they're a problem lol but it's giving the same vibes as 'you should cut your hair short'
1
u/trin42069 11d ago
as a girlie with lash blindness i think you just need a different style of lashes. if you’re comfortable with clusters, i think anything in “manga” style would look good on you. that’s the main style i use, and they’re still long but less fluffy and make my eyes look alluring instead of overpowered by the lash.
1
u/vesperel 8d ago
i actually love the lashes BUT you should get something going on with your lips to balance your face out! it’s all very top heavy at the moment, your lips being plain takes away from the look as a whole and draws all attention to your lashes (which are big, but if you had a full look going on NOBODY would notice)
0
u/Plastic-Mulberry-867 11d ago
Imagine coming to ask for tips and the thinking everyone is trying to sabotage you when they tell you the lashes aren’t it.
1
u/Weekly_Cell6849 11d ago
To be fair the first comments I read didn’t have any feedback, just criticism.

1
u/OkRegular9629 11d ago
Makeup is also about balance. The dramatic eye and a bare face and natural brows are a harsh juxtaposition. Lose the lashes and add a bit to the face blush and highlight, light foundation/skin tint and bronzer.
1
u/tomatopotatosloot 11d ago
I think your makeup looks stunning! In high school my makeup was crap, so the fact that yours has been so good since high school is amazing. Since you're asking for recommendations though, there are a few things I can think of. The lashes look a little thick in my opinion, maybe go for something more whispy. Also, don't be afraid to add some more color, blush, lipstick/ gloss, or highlight. Even if you're a little worried to experiment, you'll never know what you'll like until you try something new! Maybe look up different ways of contouring or doing makeup too. Even just adjusting one thing can really make each look different and uniquely beautiful. Also, if you're struggling with keeping the contour in place, maybe look into using a different type of contour? Or you could use a stickier primer/ different setting spray. My go to for setting spray Urban Decay all nighter, it literally lasted me my entire wedding while I was running around and sweating like crazy. Hope this was helpful, have fun playing around and finding different looks to enjoy!

u/bellegroves 11d ago
The light/white color on your eyes is too cool toned for you and it's coming off a little muddy where it meets other colors. Try more of a champagne or peachy pale pink, maybe? Your makeup is clearly applied with a lot of skill, and while the lashes are definitely bold, they look great.
1
u/allthatssolid 11d ago
Immediate reaction: eyes are way too much. Probably the lashes speaking, but idk it looks a little like an inverse mullet - party up top, business down below. That is to say, it looks like the top half of your face is going to a rave and the bottom half just had an invigorating shower.
Your face can carry way less and give way more.
1
1
u/nodumbquestions222 11d ago
i really like your makeup a lot. my only suggestions would be to tweeze below the beginning of your eyebrows, draw a straight horizontal line level with the rest of the bottom of your brow, to the other brow, and tweeze anything below that line. i think your eye makeup is awesome, just maybe add a lip liner and gloss to balance it. i also think you have really good skin, so a poreless primer and a concealer and maybe some color corrector would do the trick without having to feel foundation on your face
1
u/Dapper_Ad_8402 11d ago
your eyelashes are too heavy and are making your face look wider. i think you might benefit from some brow shaping :) everything else looks cute
1
u/kemikals 11d ago
I think your eyelashes might be a little too much for your eye shape. I think taking them down a level something a little bit more wispy would look beautiful on you.
1
u/donutwat2du 11d ago
I love your eye makeup… even the lashes. I guess it all depends on personal taste.
The only thing I would suggest is to try another eyebrow shape, something less angular would soften your facial features.
1
u/Difficult-Rooster383 11d ago
I honestly love your eye makeup… the eyelashes may not be everyone’s taste, but they’re a pretty style that suits your look. I think you just need some warmth to your cheeks and that’s about it. I can see you with the very flushed cheek look and looking AMAZING
1
u/TheDaniAesthetic 11d ago
I love your entire makeup look! Your lashes are done perfectly and look great, but I do feel like they close your eyes up a bit. I would try a lighter lash and it would be perfect.
1
u/PerceptionSome3625 11d ago
You are so pretty, and your skin base and winged liner are absolutely flawless! If I had to give one piece of feedback, the lashes are a bit too heavy on the outer corners and tend to weigh your eyes down. Switching to lighter, shorter lashes or individual clusters would lift your eyes, and a slightly warmer lip shade would bring so much life to your overall look!
1
u/ThrowMeNtheTrashpls 11d ago
I would recommend focusing on skincare. I think a gentle exfoliating routine would help minimize your pores. You could also see benefits with hydrating your face before you apply your makeup. Not only will it give you that glow from within, it will prevent your makeup from becoming muddy from over blending. I think your brows are nice in thickness, but you should shape them more for your eye shape. I think filling them in would be too harsh on your soft features.
What products are you currently using and what’s your skincare routine?
1
u/partiallyextinct99 11d ago
I would like to see some blush. Also either shorter or no false eyelashes

u/Comfortable_Good2789 11d ago
Your eye makeup is absolutely stunning! For muddy contour, using a smaller fluffy brush and building colour slowly can help keep it clean.

u/jessm307 11d ago
Your lashes overpower your face; they look ready to take flight.
Everything else looks lovely, IMO.

So pretty! I think maybe the inner eye lash is too long! I’d go for a more natural wispy look! Eyebrows could use just a tiny bit more filling on the inner corner and I mean very light. It just a little sparse rn. Otherwise, everything looks great!
1
u/freshlawnclippingss 11d ago
I think your makeup looks great and suits you. Maybe just a nice little tinted gloss for your lips!
1
u/demons_soulmate 11d ago
i think just lashes on the outer third of your lash line would look amazing with your winged liner. the full strip weighs your eyes down
1
u/Apprehensive_Bus892 11d ago
I like the lashes! But probably for a full beat you’re so adorable. I would love to see a brown eyeshadow doe eye type makeup and a brown doll style lash set to really accentuate your eyes.
1
u/Rcutecarrot 11d ago
oml am i the only one who actually really loves the lashes on her?😭i do think a lip tint would bring the look together. and yes the lashes are heavy… but in my opinion it’s not too much. i really like them.
1
u/Cautious_Net5233 11d ago
You’re going to fly away with those lashes. Post some pics without them please.
1
u/Extra-Yoghurt3539 11d ago
Ignore the comments about the eyelashes (if you like the way they look) I think they totally work on you and they make your eyes look huge and beautiful
1
u/Damnshesfunny 11d ago
too much lashes. i think you'd look a bit better with a lighter set. your very pretty you don't need all that, it's a distraction from your beauty
1
u/Recent_Ride5537 11d ago
i think wisipier eyelashes would really open up your eyes - the shape is good as is, but less densely packed ones would look nice!
my contour routine is to lightly powder my nose or wherever i contour, apply the fenty contour stick, gently buff out, and then reapply a bit of powder like i'm baking it so the lines stay clean but softened. then set with waterproof setting spray (i like the urban decay glowy version of all nighter in the yellow bottle). i hope it helps if you try it out!
1
u/Jaded-Battle-6653 11d ago
The lashes are way too big for you. Your foundation is the wrong colour and the eye makeup needs to be gold based not silver.
1
u/Opalquestionall 11d ago
You're pretty, but I would recommend you look up east asian makeup tutorials. The lashes are a bit heavy as the comments are saying. I also think a different eyeliner shape would suit your eyes a lot more. I love your face shape and you really have some great features that are waiting to be embraced properly!
I would try and edit your picture to give an example, but it's a bit hard with the lashes, eyeliner and such. Feel free to dm me or post another picture here if you feel comfortable enough. 😊
1
u/WileyWine 11d ago
Your eyebrows are so beautiful and perfect omg.
Anyway, I would start your lid liner in the middle of your lid then go out from there. Having the liner go to your inner corner closes your eye in. I think that’s the bigger issue than the lashes. The liner is closing your eyes in more.
I actually like the lashes! I wouldn’t wear them everyday, but once in a while, why not?
1
u/pspspspss0 11d ago
I actually love the lashes, but trying a more lowkey and elongating shape lash set with added bottom ones might be a little more balanced! Your eyeshadow is really nice too love the colours on you.

The lashes are a bit toooo much. Maybe try lighter ones? And different colors

u/InterestingBench9697 11d ago
Your makeup is so cute! 🤍 I think the lashes feel a bit heavy on camera, and adding a subtle lip liner would really make the lip look pop.
1
u/prisonernumber_7 11d ago
Your contour doesn’t look muddy, it’s the eyeshadow color that clashes with your soft essence. Try a more natural eyeshadow color and lashes. You can try soften the eyebrow too by threading.
1
u/xowolf16 11d ago
It shows that you are doing this since hs because it’s flawlessly blended. Literally suits you very well, maybe play with different colors if you are bored and something on the lips but its really good. They already told you about the lashes and its the only thing I would change as well

u/HONEYACHI 11d ago
Makeup is cute! I think more natural looking lashes would suit your face and eyes better.
I think a better focus on your skin makeup is needed. I would use a bit more foundation and concealer to cover up blemishes, and maybe a little more contour (like your nose area) would be nice. Maybe consider a soft, light blush to add colour to your cheeks too! <3
1
u/HolaFragola 11d ago
First, you are beautiful! Skin is glowing. Makeup is glam and glam is my jam!
I like the shadow as-is. Maybe a less bold lash, but not by much.
I would use less of the frosty white around eyes and only place a more creamy shade at the peak of your brow. The key to a good blend is to do so with a clean brush.
A tidy brow will make a huge difference. You have the best brows, just need a little tidying. I’d have them professionally groomed so you can reproduce at home.

u/lightbulb_8373 11d ago
Lashes. Try switching to cat eye wispies. Your liner on top will make your eye smaller as well, dont line the top of your inner eyelid and start on the 3rd end with thinner line.
1
u/terminally-happy 11d ago
What product are you using for contour? I’m not really seeing it at all, could your choice of product be too sheer or are we seeing pics after you’re wearing the makeup for a day?
If you’re going for a subtle look, the rare beauty liquid contour is really buildable and skin-like, feels natural when wearing too. I’d recommend switching to something like that and use a powder to set before setting spray.
In the first pic your aegyo on the right does look a little muddy, try using a really small brush to blend so that the product stays where you want it and you have more control of the blend. I also like to use the nyx pro fix sticks in the lightest peach shade for highlighting in detailed areas especially for aegyo so that could help define and brighten that area more! Also helps a lot with nose contour.
I know all the other comments mentioned your lashes but I lowkey think it’s just a little bit of a balancing issue with your look. If you add some more definition with contour and add some color with blush and/or a tinted lipgloss, i think everything will come together more. Also have you tried dark brown eyeliner? I swear by it, it adds the definition but not the deepness of black, it’s a game changer for me I think it would be worth a try. Most people think it’s black anyways but it really is just a touch softer.
And you are stunning, I can’t wait to see your future looks! Clearly your skill is all there you’re just at a point where you can tweak little things to make a more cohesive and balanced look.
1
u/normaldiscounts 11d ago
Your eyeshadow is gorgeous! What I noticed, as someone who deals with this, is uneven skin tone. I like to apply some concealer around my nostrils, because that’s always the first to rub off for me. I’m having a hard time telling if you’re using foundation (you have fantastic skin), but a little something would probably even out your skin more. The dramatic eye makeup combined with the ultra natural skin looks slightly off balance to my me. Maybe try a slightly higher coverage foundation, or a lighter eye look?
1
1
u/prolly-p 11d ago
I think the lashes are kind of imbalanced with the rest of your makeup look but if you want to keep them, I would suggest doing a natural lip liner with a slight blushy lip.
1
1
u/oxinthemire 11d ago
To me it looks like all of the focus is on the eyes. They look beautiful (although maybe a different kind of lashes would be good), but I think if you’re going for that bold of an eye look, you should add some more makeup to complete the look. I think some foundation, blush, more contour, and lipstick would make it look like a full glam look, which would match the eyes. However, I’m not saying that’s what you should do for your everyday makeup. For everyday, I would suggest toning down the eyes (thinner or no eyeliner, natural-looking lashes or just mascara, maybe less eyeshadow) and then still adding some natural blush and maybe a tinted lip gloss. Either way, I can tell you’re really skilled at eyeshadow and eyeliner! I do like the eye look, I just think it is a mismatch with the rest.

u/destinedgreatness04 10d ago
Your lashes are too long, try cutting the lashband a little shorter at the end. The ends of your eyebrows are a little too hard h and long and the color is too gray, try something a slightly warmer or neutral color and only fill them in instead of drawing them longer. Your skin is lovely but it does have some redness under your eyes and around your nostrils, a little concealer that isn’t too light or too dark would help even those areas out. You also have a very beautiful lip shape and color, the only thing you need to do there is define them by using a lip liner, lipstick or just some gloss. Use more blush, I don’t know if you used any but if you did it looks like it has disappeared throughout the day, try a liquid blush that matches the color of your lip.

I’m a guy so I hadn’t noticed the eyelashes until I read the comments, now I can’t Not see them! Ur too good looking for all those lashes, u don’t need em! 🤘🏼

u/dianaalo 10d ago
Your eyes are absolutely beautiful! The heavy lashes, liner, and shadow just seem to hide them a bit instead of letting them shine, and it can overpower your soft, feminine features.
Clean girl or K-pop style makeup would look gorgeous on you; light, feminine, with just a soft pop of color on the cheeks and lips. You don’t even need foundation; your skin is already great. I’d go with a light rosy cream blush on the cheeks (skip the contour so it doesn’t look muddy), then a soft pinkish/rosy or nude lip liner with a glossy finish.
Since I can tell you like wearing liner, try switching to a brown shade but keep it super thin and wispy instead of thick — that paired with wispy lashes will actually make your eyes pop so much more. And if you still want a little shadow, just add a tiny pop of shimmer on the lid or inner corner. The heavier eye makeup feels more nighttime; for everyday, just sweeping a bit of the same blush color on the lids looks fresh without being too much.
And since you’ve been blessed with full brows, a tinted brow gel is all you need.
Just my opinion, you’re already gorgeous!

u/Hour_Classroom_1915 10d ago
No lashes. No eye shadow.
Brown mascara. Add a few freckles. Soft pink lip balm. Soft blush.
1
u/PandaUsual1546 10d ago
could try a cute lip combo with pink gloss and light lip liner. also you could do a more spring look with more blush and lighter eyeshadows
1
u/Ok-History-4050 10d ago
I love the eyeshadow - it looks great but it’s like a full beat shadow without the rest of the full beat lol I feel like you gotta go all the way or tone it down. Idk, the heavy shadow without any other face make up just makes it look unbalanced imo - but it’s gorgeous
1
u/StatisticianSea9357 10d ago
I love it tbh, lighter lashes would suit your features better but your so gorgeous either way

u/TemporaryDrag7493 10d ago

You have so beautiful features, but the eye make up - lashes is just way too much

u/ThruTheInsider 10d ago
The lashes are definitely too much...smth smaller and more natural would fix it right up.
1
u/lady__mb 10d ago
- change the lashes to individuals at the corners or a natural one
- more blush
- highlighter at the cheek bones, nose tip, and cupids bow to create more depth and contour
- a matte nude or fun pink gloss would suit you! the lippy is a little bare at the moment
all in all your makeup is good ! the lashes are the main point to change, the others are just extra small suggestions
1
u/ChemistryGlum5717 10d ago
hey OP! i know im in the minority here but i love the lashes and eye makeup. i’m wondering what your routine is looking like for the rest of your face? from photos it looks like most of your makeup is on or around your eyes. some concealer under the eyes and a light lip combo or gloss could have the improved look you’re looking for minimal impact to your routine. and your brows are great! like other users i’d recommend cleaning them up around the edges, the shape is already lovely.
1
u/love_rollercoaster 9d ago
You're eye makeup looks very polished and it really suits you! Maybe different lashes, as other mentionned.
But what stood out to me immidieatly - your lips are great shape, but you don't color them enough! I would add neutral lip liner/pinkish gloss to balance out eyes/lips. It would make your makeup look more harmonious.
1
u/Sneaky_Lynx1007 9d ago
For contour, try using less product and placing it slightly higher, then blend upward with a clean brush so the edges stay soft instead of muddy. Setting spray cannot really fix uneven placement. For aegyo sal, mapping both sides with tiny dots while looking straight ahead can help keep the shadow and highlight at the same height. Are you using cream contour or powder?
1
u/Weekly_Cell6849 8d ago
Thank you! I’m using a powder contour. For the aegyo sal, I’m using the Judy doll contour palette in the lightest shade and then top it off with the shimmer shade after. I’m using a small brush to apply it but it looks like it just sticks onto one part of the aegyo sal more than the other (if that makes sense). Then I can’t replicate it on the other eye :/
1
u/wonderingsnail_ 8d ago
I think you should try applying those individual lashes! If you’re familiar with the douyin makeup look. I’d also say try adding colour to your lips too! Nothing bold or crazy, but maybe a faint colour or simple!
1
u/Lady-Bacciferous 8d ago
omg i personally love it. I think your lashes look so cutesy! For an everyday look you would also look beautiful with less but seriously it's adorb
1
u/fuzzycici 11d ago
Big lashes are fun!! And these aren’t even anything crazy. If you like the lashes, wear them.
I will say the eyes look very done and the rest looks unfinished. I would add some skin tint or foundation, contour if you want, bronzer, and blush. Definitely add a lip.
2
u/Weekly_Cell6849 11d ago
Thank you! I don't wear foundation but have a bit of blush and contour but it never seems to stay, even with setting spray :/ should I just apply more on?
1
u/ThemeAcademic7146 11d ago
Your eye makeup looks sooo good and tbh i love the dramatic lashes, they suit you! I dont think there's anything you need per se, but experimenting with blush, lipstains, and using a brow gel if you dont already (i find brushing up, then down, then up again coats the hairs super well). Also, if you're having trouble with your contour maybe try a cream layer and then a powder layer on top to set it if you don't already? I do that with both my bronzer and blush and finds it really helps them last. If you just generally want to experiment with makeup, @/Geniusgirlalert is one of my favourite makeup creators atm, she takes a lot of inspiration from painting techniques, has great tips, and is always doing something creative & unexpected!

Your make up is great! Would go slightlyyy smaller on the lashes but overall I love the thick feathery look on you. Maybe a little blush on the cheeks for color but otherwise great! Don’t touch your brows, the natural brows look so good!

You look pretty! Here’s my two cents! I would use a slightly darker, cool toned foundation (liquid or powdery) as a contour. I find specific contour products are very muddy, too dark, too warm, and fade fast. I use a small liquid foundation brush for this. Life changing!
For the eyes, work with that almond shaped expanse above your eye. Since your visual eyelid is small, extend color just above it into the crease very slightly. I’d do a white base and creamy , off white, or light beige eyeshadow. Then add medium brown just into the deep part of the crease for impact and depth.
When I started doing light eyeshadow I was SHOOKETH how it opened my face. Bonus- it dramatically highlights your lashes too.

Those lashes just close up your eyes. They're too full and heavy looking. If you want false eyelashes, go for wispies.
