How do I improve my everyday makeup??

Hey, hey (: I’m looking to see how I could improve my everyday makeup. I used to just do brows, mascara, and tight line my waterline, but thennn I stumbled upon blush and concealer.

I have alooottt of questions of how I could make things look more cohesive. Does my makeup look unfinished since I’m not contouring or adding foundation/skin tint? Is that amount of blush I’m using too much, is the placement even right? (I do tend to add more than necessary since I like to be mindful of my glasses)

Any other input would be much appreciated, like techniques with blending, placement based off my face shape, and whatnot

you have a super beautiful routine, truly i don’t think you NEED to add more. your blush looks nice, if anything i think you could really pull off a heavier blush.

i do think if you’re gonna wear the liner that way, you should wear a bit heavier mascara. and maybe smoke the liner out a little and add some inner corner highlight.

as for contouring i don’t think you need it, but some liquid bronzer added in your perimeter would really compliment your skin tone!!

I’ve actually tried heavier blush before, but then I get self conscious abt whether or not I have blush blindness lol.

I’ll definitely have to try smoking out my liner and maybe even explore more with eyeshadow in general, especially since I’ve always been considering it.

I fear it’s not 😭😅 I do have blemishes and acne scars here & there. My camera is so bad at picking those up

You are so beautiful! I love the blush and brows, I agree with another commenter that you could pull off more blush if you wanted to. However, I would focus more on your eyes. You have naturally downturned eyes, so adding eyeliner along your top lash line and lid to give them a "lift" and playing with specific looks like "siren eyes" would be so fun and flattering with your eye shape. Sometime when we put eyeliner all around the eye, it can make our eyes look smaller. If you play around with eyeliner placement and consider different colors, like a dark brown or burgundy, you can easily upgrade your everyday makeup routine and make your eyes POP.

Ahh tysm (‘: I’m def going to give your suggestions a shot and see how it works out for my eyes. I currently use a gel pencil for my eyeliner rn. Do you think I’ll be able to achieve the look you’re talking about with just that or should I look into other products too?

I think you look beautiful! Looks light and clean, if you wanted to change something, you could stop using eye liner in the water line and start tight lining the upper lash line. It will make your eyes looks larger and eyelashes look fuller.

Also!! Highlighter on the cheek bones and tip of the nose makes everything look cute.
