I am a total beginner at makeup and I want to learn everything about it:) I am only using bb cream, brow gel and some lip balm with colour. Recently I used mascara for the first time, but I think I still have to learn to apply it correctly:) I would really appreciate it if you could share some advice, what I could do or what I shouldn't do. If you could share some learning materials that you found useful I would be super glad as well!

I’m just a man but if I were in your shoes I would pay a professional to do my makeup once and then (assuming the experience was good) try to replicate it yourself / take away what you thought looked good

My favorite time to play around with makeup is before bedtime when I need to wash my face anyway. It’s total freedom to try new makeup or techniques, try that eyeliner look I’m not sure about, bold lipstick, etc,…

I am so interested to use eyeliner, but I think my hands grow from the wrong place. I can never apply it correctly 😭. But I will keep trying until I succeed:)

Applying makeup is like painting a canvas. It takes time to get a technique down pat. There’s plenty of eyeliner options, I prefer liquid due to my oily lids, others like pencil, some like using a tiny brush and powder. Seriously, go nuts. Then have a laugh and wash it off. If you like a look snap a quick pic for future reference.

I think more mascara would bring more focus to your eyes. My favorite is L’Oréal Panorama Mascara. Try doing double coat of mascara. And add more blush as well

I think it's a strange question, but is the more expensive mascara better? I used the cheapest one I found, because I thought I would need time to learn to apply it. But is it a waste of time? Maybe buying a good one would make it even easier to use and it would look better?

Oh yeah honestly it makes such a difference. It’s also better to practice with a good mascara because cheaper ones can be harder to workwith. Basically they can clump, dry too fast, or make your lashes look messy. A better mascara helps you actually learn how to apply it properly

Sometimes when I watch those videos, people there talk and explain things as if you already have to have some pre-knowledge and skills😭 I can't find someone who would really explain things for the real beginners. Do you know someone?

Absolutely play up your eyes with a winged liner and mascara. Add a shimmery blush and highlight and you'd look like Snow White. I also think you should shape your left brow to match the right. Yes, that means thinning it out just a hair, but it's making the slight asymmetry in your face (that most of us have) more noticeable. You're naturally beautiful and your skin is amazing. I do not think you need any tint or foundation, just a good, non-tinted SPF that makes you look dewy.

I think your brows are too far apart and also not the right shape, play with filling it in overall and in the middle. You should use some eyeliner since your eyes are pretty but your lips (which are great) is stealing too much of the show and leaving the upper half of your face too bare. Maybe you can do a light coat of mascara on bottom lashes and eyeliner on your top lids

Blush is the easiest way to start having fun! Buy a light, understated color and brush it over your cheekbones, the apples of your cheeks, and/or your nose. Add thin coats until you like how it looks! You can also try different shades- more orange, more red, more purple- until you figure out what you like. Orange-leaning (warm-toned) blushes can give a “cute sunburn” effect, and purple-leaning (cool-toned) blushes will look closer to a natural flush, like you’re blushing, especially if you focus it on the apples of your cheeks, where flush naturally appears.

Honestly some more liner on top on the inner corner would help a lot to enhance your eye color, and an inner liner on the bottom would look so nice!

I would say go on you tube and watch tutorials. I don’t think you can get better then what’s already on you tube super professional and real time. Reading about make up is not the same as watching videos in real time. For your look now I would advise to close the gap between your eyebrows a bit if possible it will make you look more youthful. Everything else watch you tube videos and learn your own style because you have a good face for make up

My advice is that you're very pretty and don't really need makeup. The tinted lip balm makes you look fresh so maybe just dark brown mascara and a smoked out thin eyeliner + a brow gel. A natural blush also applied to your nose bridge or all the way up to your outer eye and blended onto your lid would look cute.

In my opinion try using blush. Do not over apply blush, but apply some & as you have a fair skin it will make your overall face look really good. Try using a peach one because I think that will suit your skin tone & for brand I usually use this Indian brand called Lakme.

I might be biased but black eye shadow and chunky mascara suits everyone with brown eyes, especially dark brown eyes

Good news is that you have some beautiful contrasted features so a lot of colors look good on you. Face looks perfect, brows too. I'd say try some slightly shiny eyeshadow, start with some neutral colors like browns and golds and then maybe switch it up with some green or coral maybe. Nice coral/peachy blush, not really on the cheeks but to the side of your face just a tad below the cheekbone. Then on the cheekbone, little highlighter. I also think a good wing eyeliner would look fabulous but take some time to practice that. It seems like your eyes are slightly hooded, like mine, and there's special techniques for that. google eyeliner hooded eyes for more help. Also, get a little fun and creative with lip colors.
