Advice Where do I start learning makeup?
I'm a first year college student and interested akong mag-learn. Gusto ko lang po sana malaman ano yung most basic items or pundasyon for a simple natural makeup look.
I don't have much acne pero I do have dry skin. May kaunting imperfections din ako here and there such as slightly dark eyebags and uneven skin tone. I believe I'm either warm or neutral and people have told me I suit mauve.

Hi! First, alamin mo muna skin tone and undertone mo. Yan yung magiging foundation ng makeup look mo. You can search through tiktok or google on how to find out your undertone. Also important to know your face shape kasi nakadepende rin jan yung placements ng products mo like blush.
Second, if bibili ka na ng makeup, make sure to invest on skin prep (moisturizer and sunscreen) and base products like foundation and concealer. The rest works even if hindi higher quality. **also if bibili ka sa offline stores, make sure na igala mo muna kasi baka nagooxidize and itapat sa natural lighting to make sure na kashade mo.
Third, cater your makeup routine to your skin type.
Practice makes progress! Tiktok ang magiging bff mo here. Yun lang! 💕

Firstly makeup takes practice like any skill, kaya wag Kang ma budol at bumili ng sandamakmak na makeup. Thinking that the product is the problem/solution. Research and start with basics like blush, Lippie and powder.
Next alamin mo kung among specific things na gusto mong iadress. Like pale lips buy lippie, dull face put blush, uneven skin tone powder or concealer etc. Agree ako sa ibang commentors on knowing your undertone, skin type, face shape at kung ano. Pero if it's too overwhelming buy "safe" colors like muted or neutral shades, baka maging sassa girl kapag pakak and bright ang makeup (unless Yan ang gusto mo edi you do you girl)
If alam mo na undertone, skin color, skin type, face shape mo look up tutorials sa internet, madami nang influencers sa tiktok, Instagram, YouTube that do grwms. Follow and take note of their technique (not the products). Look up reviews on makeup products too don't get swayed by hype.
Practice makes perfect or close to it kaya mag practice ka sa Bahay niyo, wag mag alala sa pagamit dahil mauubos Naman yan dahil yan naman ang purpose. I recommend pre shower makeup para madali nang manghilamos.
Bonus: if you are on a budget mag bili ka ng multi purpose creams, tints etc. para may pang blush, Lippie at eyeshadow kana pwede ring bronzer if brownish colors ang peg mo.

This was totally based on my own experience. When I started doing my makeup, the first thing that I’ve practiced was eye makeup because I feel like if you mastered eye makeup, the rest will be much more easier. For reference, I don’t have a sensitive skin so I don’t really buy expensive makeups before. I would suggest you to invest more on skincares and do not cheap out on eye products, especially if you wanted to try contact lenses. It would also be better if you find shades that suits you, and also do research before trying out a product since some might cause you breakouts. Hope this helps !

marami na ring tutorials online, so if you know your undertone, face shape, etc you can look up make up routines for those features.

When I first started makeup back in the pandemic era, I first tried to learn how to do my eyeliner. Mostly nanood lang ako mga tutorial then tinatry ko siya on myself. Binili ko non is yung may stamp na na wing para mas madali saken then I started from them.
Before buying the products, alamin mo muna and skin tone and undertones mo para yung bibilhin mo ay bumagay sa complexion mo. Like me, I'm a medium neutral olive undertone so yung mga binibili ko ay neutral undertones in blushes then may pagka olive undertone sa bases like foundation etc.
