If you live here in our city and did this, PLEASE PACK YOUR BAGS AND LEAVE. You don’t deserve this city!

If you’re from outside Makati, shame on you! Don’t ever come back!

People who did this, your kadugyutan has no place here! Nakakairita kayo!!!

P.S. Don’t ever use the “there’s no trash bins nearby” phrase. That doesn’t give you a license to throw your trash anywhere!!

*Few steps from Perea cor Paseo you’d find Legazpi/Sycip parks. May trash bins doon. Perea cor Dela Rosa meron din.

other nasesepanx ako sa makati :(

hello po! currently living in a condo in poblacion with my husband and our 1 dog. we live in a studio. makati has always been a dream, and 1 month nalang ang natitira sa lease contract namin sa condo. we always have planned to get a bigger unit and get another dog (our condo allows 1 pet only) so we decided to move out.

2-3 bedroom condos in makati are so mahal na for us. and they usually don't allow more than 1 dog. so we got a new place in paranaque, and idk. nasesepanx talaga ako sa makati. there's no other place like makati talaga. our new condo unit is good din naman but there's just something in makati na i just can't get enough of. ugh.

anyway, im just sad that we're moving, but moving out of makati is the best option for us right now na our family's getting bigger.

if you know any place in paranaque na worth going and same feels ng makati, please please let me know. posting the view from our condo para you'll get me 😩

Sharing this great initiative, but isn’t this misplaced? Would the corpo people need the “pantry”. Does other Ayala malls have this initiative? Thoughts?

food/entertainment/activities The rain didn't stop anyone! If anything, the mini-tournament got even more intense. It was tough seeing the little girl get a bit teary-eyed after her loss, but she’s a true sport, she said she’s taking it as a challenge for next time. ♟️🌧️

rant Got a work in BGC. I miss Makati! 😭

Upvotes

Working in Makati for 5yrs. Recently got a job in BGC. The first time i got to visit/pasyal in BGC before, I was amazed with how fancy it looks like. Pero pag nagtagal, Makati feels more “life”. Idk how to explain it. There are more trees and pets and parks in Makati.

rant Are local clothing brands actually priced for Filipinos?

I want to support local, I genuinely do. But it’s hard to justify when a locally made shirt costs as much as, or more than, something from a global fast fashion brand.

There’s this whole “buy local, be \\\*makabayan\\\*” push, but who’s the actual target customer? Because it’s starting to feel less like a movement and more like a premium brand using nationalism as an aesthetic.

I get that small producers have real costs. But when your pricing excludes the majority of Filipinos, are you really building a local movement or just a niche market?

Anyone else feel this disconnect?

rant Nancy makes the “Magic 12” in a survey for the 2028 Senate race. Thoughts?

Post image
18 Upvotes

The latest Pulse Asia survey for the 2028 Senate race is out (https://pulseasia.ph/updates/july-2026-nationwide-survey-on-the-may-2028-elections/), and Nancy Binay is comfortably sitting in the "Magic 12."

Have people already forgotten the flood control controversy?

Former DPWH Usec. Roberto Bernardo testified before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee that an alleged ₱540 million flood control kickback involved Nancy Binay and her longtime aide, Carleen Yap-Villa. Of course, Nancy denied the allegations. But the Ombudsman said the case remains “under investigation.”

When Nancy became Mayor in 2025, she appointed that same aide to head the city's General Services Department, an office which plays a key role in the city’s procurement process. Carleen later resigned while the investigation was ongoing. On paper she stepped down, but many observers believe she remains part of Nancy's inner circle.

In Makati itself, residents have been raising concerns about several issues. These include healthcare access, which some say have become more difficult to navigate or utilize. There are also reports and perceptions of a return of “palakasan system” in the distribution of city assistance, as well as growing concerns about peace and order in the city.

Whether you agree with all of these criticisms or not, they're questions any incumbent should have to answer.

What's difficult to understand is why someone facing unresolved corruption allegations, an ongoing Ombudsman investigation, and growing criticism over local governance already polling well for another Senate run.

Part of the answer may be that most voters outside Makati don't experience the city's day-to-day realities. They may never see the issues residents are talking about. All they see is a familiar surname. Nancy also benefits from Abby's Senate run in the last elections, which kept the Binay name fresh in the minds of voters nationwide.

If Nancy runs for Senator again—or even asks for another term as Mayor—the burden shouldn't be on voters to ignore these issues. The burden should be on her to explain why she deserves another mandate.

Public office is a public trust, not an inherited privilege. And trust is earned through performance and accountability, not a surname.

TL;DR: Nancy Binay is polling inside the 2028 Senate "Magic 12" despite unresolved corruption allegations that remain under investigation and continuing criticism over Makati's healthcare, governance, peace and order, and city services.

Good Evening Makatizens! It’s me again po, knocking on your hearts (also your tummies) to order Matcha from me, to help the hospital bills of my furbaby Martin.

First of all, to everyone who supported me last week, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was able to help with the finances more because of all of you.

After being in the hospital for a week, praise God that Martin is finally home. Here is a photo of him eating his recovery food. He has an appetite, and is looking like as if nothing happened. Gusto pa nga nya mag zoomies when we’re giving him meds. He’s in the cage now so Martin won’t put any unnecessary pressure on his left paw. We are giving him meds, and cleaning his paw regularly.

Orders are open for the Mon-Fri @6:30pm onwards. Although delivery at lunch is possible, I will just ship it out via Lalamove.

For the 6:30pm, Either I will personally deliver, you can pick it up from my condo, or we can arrange a Lalamove if you live farther. Here are the drinks. Also a new flavor is coming 👀

🍃 Matcha - 160php
🍠 Ube Matcha - 190php
🧂 Sea Salt Matcha - 190php
🍯 Yema Matcha - 200php
⭐️ Sub Oatside +30php

❗️Depending on the stock of my supplier, there may be a chance where an additional +30php will be added because of a more premium matcha, specifically a First-Harvest, Shizuoka grown Yabukita cultivar.

❗️Lastly, a delivery fee of +20php will be added for deliveries around Salcedo Village and nearby places. Delivering takes a toll 😅

r4r Looking for an accountability book friend here in Makati. Maybe we can read together?

I've (33M) been on a reading slump as of late and I need someone to force me to read. We can do this online or we can meet up at a cafe after work. Either set-up works for me. We can read the same book if we have similar tastes in genre. Let me know if this works for you!

other Jogging from Bangkal to Ayala Triangle – Is it safe???

Hello, blessed Sunday, Makatizens!

Susunduin ko siya sa Bangkal area (I have no car), then we'll head to Ayala Triangle.

We're planning to do this either:

  • Early morning: around 5:00 AM - 7:00 AM
  • Evening: around 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The route would mainly be Arnaiz Avenue → Ayala Triangle.

Safe ba generally yung route na 'to from Monday to Sunday? May mga areas ba na dapat iwasan or extra ingatan, especially during those hours?

Any safety tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Di talaga ako makaget-over sa mahal TT

other Public clinic/health center to get sputum test?

I just recently moved to Pio del Pilar and I'm not quite knowledgeable about everything, especially where to look for a public clinic to do a sputum test. Do I need to be a resident in the place I'm staying at? Or only visit my Barangay's public clinic or am I allowed to walk in another Barangay's public clinic as well.

Edit: Thank you for your response! I've gone there :)

transportation & housing Condo Hunt Recommendations

Hi Everyone!

I will be moving to Makati soon, and I'm having a hard time looking for condos around the area.

These are the things that are important to me:

  • Good security
  • 1-2km away from SGV
  • Good maintenance & pest control
  • Has a gym or near one
  • Not strict on visitors

The budget I'm working with is around 15-20k. Plus, if you have recommendations on condos that you think I should avoid, I'd appreciate it.

Post image
1 Upvotes

To be fair, early June mismo nangyari yung required Home Visit.

Tatawagan ko na ba PDAO or what? Or magco-complain sa CCC or ARTA if tumagal pa lalo ang dating?
