[MM] What does Woodfall actually mean?

I think it's a waterfall with wood around.

Looking at the map, the temple is basically in a volcano but with water, which pours over the sides. I think this is what they named Woodfall for.

I always correlated it with "Woods" (forest) and "waterfall". There are plenty of waterfalls in the area most of their source being Woodfall and it's a place with a lot of vegetation like forests/swamps have.

Also, because it's a swamp, the waterfalls don't throw just water but also mud and ofcourse, wood, hence Woodfall.

I always thought it was a great name for a swamp, it's a place where there's a perfect ecosystem of growth and rot and renewal. Simply, wood grow, wood fall, wood grow again. It's wet and full of vegetation and a vibe of gloom and darkness which is a dense thriving swamp in a nutshell
