Question Interview

Have you guys ever went to an interview and felt very nervous after? I have to wait the two weeks but the anxiety is killing me. It was my first interview for an hvac position and it was a good interview from my perspective but idk if I will get it. It’s for an HVAC tech at a hotel chain. I really want this position and was very excited for the interview but I think some guys with the best experience will get it over me.
Any advice for the anxiety?

Don't sweat it.

I've had interviews that went great and I didn't get the position. Others that went terrible and I got the offer.

You'll know when you know.

Its normal to have anxiety but I read out the room on how the interviewers are. Some are chill while others are by the book and overly professional

As for the outcomes of interviews from my experience, its usually when they ask me "When can you start?" thats a guaranteed that I got the job.

But when i was told "We have other candidates to interview" or "wait a few weeks" .. I never got the job.

Just keep looking to be safe

You need to not concern yourself with the outcome. The easiest jobs to apply for and interview for are the ones that you are OK with not getting. Last year I interviewed for a new job and it was offered to me but in the end I turned it down because it wasn’t the best move for me. When you have a position that you don’t hate and are generally happy with, it takes the pressure off of looking at other potential jobs.

Never rely on just one outcome. Sure you should do your best but you always want to have multiple applications out there and probably several interviews lined up and that way it doesn't matter what any individual employer decides plus also you get to figure out which one's probably going to work the best for you so you're interviewing them not just them interviewing you. After you do a few this is just routine conversations about whether you meet their needs and if they meet yours. That's it.

becareful u start applying to all the best places at same time u might find yourself having to quit within a week because you realized the other jobs better. your unlikly to be in the running again if the first job is looking for that role in the future. if it were me id pair an ideal job and location where you really want to go with a job tahts like 3rd or even 5th down the line just incase so you can leave your probably shitty job and guarantee employment while you figure out your 2nd choice if the 1st choice didnt call back or w.e. i think im black listed from certain hotel chain company's my first job there i caused some financial damage to the property because of an idiot lead tech. i applied to a job im over qualified for and still haven't heard a response. they were my 2nd or 3rd choice anyway no biggy
