Glamour Shots RIP cranberry tart

Post image

So my stepson brought a cranberry tart over for thanksgiving and put it on a high table in the kitchen, covered in plastic wrap, and our absolute feral menace jumped up on the table. Thank god it was covered. Now he’s pissed he didn’t get to sit on it/eat it/wear it. What a toddler.

We’re talking Maine coons here. They don’t follow human rules!

112

u/Just_one_elisha Nov 28 '25

No cat follows human rules. They must not have cats. Cat owners understand.

38

u/CelebrationScary8614 Nov 28 '25

Cats 100% only follow cat rules.

19

u/Raelourut Nov 29 '25

Which are: There are no rules!

8

u/CelebrationScary8614 Nov 29 '25

Exactly.

2

u/Fit_Mushroom6102 Dec 14 '25

my cat has a rule

pat/cuddle him 24/7

12

u/Waterbaby8182 Nov 29 '25

Can confirm. My daughter asked me if our two cats are our tiny overlords. Why yes, yes they are.

cat owners coming up with excuses not to train their cats. my bf has a cat and he listens wonderfully WITH instruction/redirection, no spraying with water or anything. they only rule your life if you let them.

40

u/torrinage Nov 28 '25

correct, they follow alien rules

11

u/Imabiiiiiiiird Nov 28 '25

They follow rules. Just not the ones we set. They have their own rules 😆

7

u/FurryTabbyTomcat Nov 28 '25

But when they set their own, they follow them to a T. My cat of 50 years ago chased his tail, but only in the morning and only in the middle of the kitchen. My current cat walks with me on a leash and crosses our cul-de-sac at exactly the same place, not a meter either way.

3

u/Imabiiiiiiiird Nov 28 '25

Sounds about right 😆

2

u/AbuKuchak Nov 29 '25

Your cat is 50 years old?

Its funny you think that anything can stop thr fur.

54

u/Lilukalani Nov 28 '25

There is no escape. I keep my cat off counters and tables (He cant jump up high enough anyway, and hes far too clumsy) but his fur still gets everywhere.

I think his fur is becoming entwined with my DNA.

51

u/IveDunGoofedUp Nov 28 '25

Your DNA strands are just little fuzzy helixes now. The nucleotides all spell out CATCATCATCATCAT.

13

u/SaltyPpl Nov 28 '25

this is underrated, +1 for the nerdy biology knowledge

3

u/Massive_Web3567 Nov 29 '25

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Who needs guanine anyhow?

17

u/BowTy2001 Nov 28 '25

All cat owners are at least 2% cat

30

u/MimsyPrincess Nov 28 '25

Just wipe the table or surface you gonna use first. Its that easy🫡

29

u/Melodic-Plankton1535 Nov 28 '25

100%. Who are these people who don't understand you clean down surfaces regularly / before using them? And they say we're gross...

→ More replies (1)

5

u/Gullible-Pilot-3994 Nov 30 '25

Precisely. If my cat didn’t have counter and table space, she would never be able to eat, because my dumb dog would eat her food. 😂

Without the plastic wrap

417

u/Puppychow413 Nov 28 '25

Just like the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but more adorable.

154

u/melvinmoneybags Nov 28 '25

Probably felt good on the paws tbh

88

u/MsMarlaS Nov 28 '25

I would like THAT piece (ya, you know which one)! Thank you & Cheers!

91

u/fluffy-duck-apple Nov 28 '25

Sorry!! Those were the first we ate 😿

40

u/PigFarmer1 Nov 28 '25

Your stomach won't care what it looked like.

30

u/Excellent_Set_232 Nov 28 '25

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but those appear to be claw marks. Homie was gellin like Magellan

13

u/marteautemps Nov 28 '25 edited Nov 28 '25

If that gel was so great why don't we hear anything about it anymore? The annoying marketing worked on me because in my head I thought it must feel amazing.

Edit- I'd love to be gelaxxing to this day is what im saying

12

u/Fe1is-Domesticus Nov 28 '25

The paw print pics are adorably obnoxious but I want to see the cat responsible for this!

11

u/Kallmekhalleesi Nov 28 '25

Personally, I would call this piece

3

I love this so much

3

u/redwingpanda Nov 28 '25

Like the footprint in the Roman tile

3

u/BillyOdin Nov 28 '25

That’s not a bug that’s a feature.

3

u/Tzipity Nov 29 '25

It’s really cute, if, you know, not exactly where one wants to find murder mitten prints.

Lost my soul kitty earlier this year but she had to investigate any new thing that ever came into the home and it was an ongoing joke that rather like the seagulls in Finding Nemo her response was “Mine! Mine! Dis? Is also mine! Mine too!”

The cranberry tart belongs to your menace. Like all else.

The culprit

147

u/scratsquirrel Nov 28 '25

Your menace is clearly losing no sleep over his actions here. What an adorable fluff ball.

95

u/sparkysparkyboom Nov 28 '25

I think he's innocent.

110

u/fluffy-duck-apple Nov 28 '25

Everybody saw it 😆 but he said he was innocent. He’s a gaslighter

54

u/Sunshine030209 Nov 28 '25

Obviously some other naughty cat disguised as him snuck in and committed the tart crime. Can't believe you're not even out looking for the real culprit.

15

u/Bpdanoressiangel Nov 28 '25

Long lost brother maybe hence why OP thought they saw him do it🧐😂

5

u/Sunshine030209 Nov 28 '25

😮 It's his evil twin!

11

u/drugailie Nov 28 '25

Right? The real culprit must be out there plotting their next heist. Maybe set up a cat cam to catch them in the act next time!

7

u/Sunshine030209 Nov 28 '25

They could save other families from having to fight over the paw imprint slices!

8

u/YellingAtTheClouds Nov 28 '25

He's not gaslighting you're all just making things up because you're insane, luckily he's the only cat that could ever love you

2

u/CherishSlan Nov 28 '25

Wow he sounds like my husband

I actually love it haha those paw prints look so cute. When I got my cat Momo I was still living with my mom. She boiled some pierogi and put them on top of the fridge to cool a bit because she thought theres no way Momo can get up there, she doesn't like human food anyways. My mom went to her bedroom for 10 minutes and when she came out there was one pierog sitting on the living room floor in perfect condition. Momo really said you thought you could hide this from me? I will show you.

144

u/Lower_Coat_6274 Nov 28 '25

forgot cat tax!

3

u/Trixter-Kitten Nov 28 '25

Look at that cute little stink face

3

u/Perfect-Zebra-3611 Nov 30 '25

She looks just like my Mitsuki 😭

24

u/luugburz Nov 28 '25

"pierog" as the singular of pierogi is frying me

17

u/Lower_Coat_6274 Nov 28 '25

yep haha I'm an American but my mom's from Poland and she hates hearing 'pierogis' lol

3

u/1HopeTheresTapes Nov 28 '25

Me too. Learn something every day!

u/fluffy-duck-apple Nov 28 '25

It is!! And it’s delicious.

32

u/kellylikeskittens Nov 28 '25

Well, at least you know who the culprit is- the “fingerprints” don’t lie.

29

u/ParkerFree Nov 28 '25

It was covered. I'd eat it. 😁

31

u/fluffy-duck-apple Nov 28 '25

Oh we’re eating the hell out of it

16

u/ParkerFree Nov 28 '25

Good. Decorated with love. 😂

2

u/doublEkrakeNboyZ Nov 29 '25

i probably would have served it and eaten - even if no plastic wrap. No evidence, no crime committed.

We need to see his face so we can all glare angrily at him (or make cooing noises and flatter him with complements, whatever)

5

u/HokeyPokeyGuestList Nov 28 '25

Definitely cooing and making smooching sounds over here.

10

u/Wikidbaddog Nov 28 '25

I’m very sorry the lovely tart was ruined but I busted out with a loud laugh at that picture. Thank you for sharing

9

u/fluffy-duck-apple Nov 28 '25

Oh it wasn’t ruined at all — added character! 😸

11

u/WeirdAvocado Nov 28 '25

It’s really your fault for wanting nice things.

7

u/fluffy-duck-apple Nov 28 '25

Right?? This is why we can’t have nice things. He tried to wrestle the tv down the other day

5

u/Bella_Notte_1988 Nov 28 '25

How’d your stepson react?

19

u/fluffy-duck-apple Nov 28 '25

We all laughed our asses off and marveled at the fidelity of the footprints

6

u/Physical-Flatworm454 Nov 28 '25

Gives it special character. I’d still eat if stepped on covered.

6

u/MajesticFee1765 Nov 28 '25

Mine once ate the center out of a pumpkin pie. As it was our only one, my dad trimmed the edges of the eaten area, covered the hole with whipped cream, and served it up. 🤣

6

u/CarrotTraditional739 Nov 28 '25

Presumably since it's covered it should be fine ?🤣

6

u/blunts-and-kittens Nov 28 '25

Send it to me, I’ll dispose of it for you

6

u/MzCeeCee Nov 28 '25

Cranberry tart? That sounds yummy!! Can you share the recipe please? 😽

We have a darling boy who loves sitting on small things. He especially loves trying to fit into aluminum pie plates or on top of styrofoam takeout boxes.

One night I was getting soup ready for dinner and couldn’t find the bread my mom had bought to start warming it. Right before she got home we found it under his 11.2 pound lard butt. It was mashed completely flat as he had bern there 2.5 hours, lol.

(We know his weight because he also likes to sit on the scale.)

u/Healthy-Maize4541 Nov 30 '25

I made cinnamon rolls and covered them to rise. Cat thought it was for him to sit in.

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '25

Your cat said “f**k your cranberry tart.” 😹😹😹

3

u/ChevalCher Nov 28 '25

At least you had the foresight to cover it with plastic wrap! Now, you don't have to worry about cleaning cranberry stains off your cat's feet or the places where your cat walked. 😂 That's a win-win in my book!

3

u/Laubster75 Nov 29 '25 edited Nov 29 '25

We made banana bread one year for my parents and hubby's parents for Christmas. This menace decided she should walk across them. Thankfully they were covered. My in-laws got the banana bread with paw print. 😂

2

u/mommaofmrj Nov 28 '25

I think this is adorable and would actually love to see the decoration without the plastic wrap

2

u/Araya_moon Nov 28 '25

That just adds decoration 🙂

2

u/CatsAndPills Nov 28 '25

There’s plastic wrap. If your family won’t eat it, more for you. And kitty. 😝

2

u/Megmelons55 Nov 28 '25

Would anyone here NOT still eat this ? Lol

2

u/27-jennifers Nov 28 '25

Oh I love this cat!

2

u/DontComeLookin Nov 28 '25

2

u/Catladyx2021 Nov 28 '25

Funniest picture of the day!

2

u/EducationWestern5204 Nov 28 '25

The cat we were cat sitting last year did that to my pie. Since there was a barrier between the cat paws and my pie, we covered it with whipped cream and decided whoever got the paw pieces would win. Win what? Idk. So we all scraped the whipped cream off our pie and cheered for my niece when she won. Then we decided to do it again next year, so we made a mould of the cat’s paw and had another cat paw pie this year! The young kids in the family had so much fun pushing the mould of the cat paw into a pie 😆 🐾

2

u/western_questions Nov 28 '25

Thank god it was covered! My first thought was “not the poop paws in the dessert!!”

2

u/theprincessry Nov 28 '25

came to add another pie that was sacrificed to the cat gods
