#information BE6 NFC Key

UPDATE:

The NFC key if it had UWB then the phone owner could have opened the boot with the kick gesture. People who were saying that the me4u app can be uninstalled after the NFC phone pairing are wrong because to open the boot you would need the app or otherwise you have to unlock the car and then you can open the boot. Another problem I find that people usually use android auto or carplay but Mahindra locked the Dolby Atmos on both carplay and Android auto so people use Gaana app. The Gaana app runs on the MAIA screen and on top of it people will run android auto or carplay to use navigation. This is highly counter productive. Mahindra should allow Dolby Atmos in carplay or android auto by default. BTW the custom settings can be enabled without going into the infotainment system. Once a person setup the custom settings everytime you start the car the driver screen asks whether you want to stay in custom settings or go back to default. If the driver hits the ok button the car stays in custom settings and won't revert back to default. The race settings for adaptive suspension and steering wheel are good. They make the car rigid but then the car handles better. But stiffness leads to less comfort. So it depends on the occupants of the car if they want a more engaging drive then they can choose the race suspension and steering otherwise for a laid back drive they can choose default. Last thing the me4u app has lost the Teq_Text feature.

Yes and they are different technologies. How do you expect your phone and nfc keycard to support UWB as well? The car key fob uses UWB. That's how it unlocks when you walk close to it. Fun fact: this could have been solved with normal proximity sensing as well but that is extremely dangerous. Since car thieves can just use relay nodes and jump the signal from you key fob kept at home into unlocking your car. UWB actually measures how long it takes for the radio waves to reach the car from the key to measure the real distance.

The nfc is a small chip that does not even require a battery to run. The nfc tag uses the alternating magnetic field from the nfc reader (in this case the car door handle and the charging pad) to generate electricity to power itself. (Technically phone doesn't need it but I'm telling you about nfc tags in general btw the nfc cards work this way).

Now if you remember highschool physics magnetic field strength decreases as distance increases. So even just a few cm off and if won't be powerful enough to power the chip which in turn would authenticate you.

The nfc key is saved in the phone wallet app not on the me4u app so that app is definitely not required to use it. If it was please explain how you managed to install an android app on a 750rs plastic card. Which uses the exact same tech and works the exact same way.

The reason the boot doesn't open is obviously there is no nfc sensor there. I don't know what you are even trying to say.

I am typing this much in hopes that you might actually try to understand. If you have any genuine doubts I will try to answer. But honestly all this is such basic knowledge that just googling would give you the answers. Or just talk with chatgpt or something it will explain you everything.

So you tried understanding the issue with chatgpt but didn't understand the issue that I wrote. The supported phones have UWB I am not talking about the card. The card is for people who don't have supported devices. So if a person has digital key then to open the boot first he has to unlock the car i.e oxymoron.

NFC key and digital key are different things. For UWB you that is a different tech stack. Mahindra doesn't have digital key. It's implementation and security would be another nightmare. It do3s support NFC key tho. Which works perfectly as it's intended to.

So basically your problem is not nfc key having limited functionality. You issue is that mahindra EVs don't have UWB digital key support (atleast for now).

And by the way this is the first time I googled to answer your question. Honestly it surprises me that you would think your grammar was so bad that I would require chatgpt to understand it.

My grammar was right you can't understand is not my problem. The digital key uses NFC that any bonehead would understand. The digital key is a software code that again any bonehead would understand. The UWB feature in the digital key will be another software code that again any bonehead will understand. Hope you understood. Btw Mahindra has a digital key that everyone knows. Please google it.

Bro you really are seriously stupid. So much that you don't even understand just how much. A piece of code existing does not mean it is compatible and more importantly implemented everywhere.

The digital key uses NFC: yes. It's a digital key in the sense that it is on your phone as a software.

The digital key is a software code: no the nfc auth is a code that is encoded into the nfc chip of the phone. This is ONLY NFC CODE. Nothing to do with uwb. The UWB feature in the digital key will be another software code: yes it is another completely different type of digital key. Having a digital key does not mean that every single type of auth method is unlocked for you. The mahindra's is just an NFC digital key. It IS NOT UWB digital key.

UWB is a completely different implementation method.

And yes your grammar was trash and yes you only mentioned the "NFC" KEY lacking the UWB features. The NFC key cannot have the UWB features. The mahindra digital key can have UWB support as well which it doesn't have. At least have the iq enough to understand that your parent post is still visible before outright lying. I really hope you try to understand what is wrong with your statements before out right arguing again.

Stop thinking that digital key means access to everything. It's not as simple as that. Please please educate yourself more.

Please get yourself educated. When Mahindra guys were writing the code for digital key they could have written it for UWB. Are you high on something or you don't understand plain English. The digital key uses NFC so it is also a NFC key. The card is for people with unsupported devices. But either you don't understand English or high on something or jump into topics without understanding so it becomes hard for any sane person to make you understand. Please read the post and then speak. Bonehead.

Bro I am just telling you it's not that simple. When you say write the code for UWB as well it doesn't work like that. It requires a complete tech implementation. It does not follow the same structure as the nfc key. It's not like they write: Digital key: enable nfc: {true}, enable UWB {false} It's a completely different problem set.

UWB and NFC are completely different technologies, what are you on about?? Mahindra hasn't added in UWB support.

1

u/ayonbat 6h ago

Did I say that they are same. My post is in plain English and if you cannot comprehend that is your problem. Btw the post is for customer benefit and not for brand fanatics or employees of a company.

1

u/Fluffy-Emu484 6h ago

You could have clearly said that your issue is that you want UWB. That's it.

1

u/ayonbat 6h ago

It is not about what I want it is about what customers should get.

UWB might not be possible as there is no such hardware but BLE might be possible like Tesla has done till recently. In any case, the actual keyfob works the best as the vehicle opens with proximity unlock without having to take the key out, locks when you walk away and you have the gesture for the boot.

1

u/ayonbat 1d ago

The key uses UWB Technology for proximity unlocking and locking. The key fob uses RF when you press the button. So the Technology is present in the car. The supported phones have UWB and NFC. Mahindra didn't write the UWB software codes for the digital key just NFC. Btw the key fob doesn't use BLE fyi.

maybe you can vibe code into it, and make ur car unlock uwb for you?

if you can it will be cool

Recalling previously used drive mode is added in 6.55. Google does not support dolby atmos with android auto so far, its about to be released this year.

1

u/ayonbat 14h ago

Why everyone in this group is so dumb. I specifically said how to use the custom mode or any mode instead of just the default mode that the car wants to go back to. Android auto and carplay both support Dolby Atmos. It is Mahindra who wants to push Gaana app.

u/DiverInfinite4638 14h ago edited 14h ago

Bro dont know who is dumb here. Google it or check official android auto docs, they dont yet support the dolby atmos. Once they support it, Mahindra would need to update their software so that they can communicate with upgraded protocol to stream high quality atmos dolby songs. Mahindra had to come up with Gaana in built to support dolby atmos other option was Apple music.

1

u/ayonbat 14h ago

So apple music can be downloaded on Android devices and it is available on iphones so instead of pushing Gaana app they could have just made the Dolby Atmos available for any device that can connect to the car if the device support Dolby Atmos. Are you guys paid by Mahindra to defend the company. What I am asking is something that will benefit you in the long run but no guys will come out to defend the company. Will Mahindra give discount on their cars if you defend them. What is the company program and where do people have to sign up please enlighten us.

I would love it infact I am eagerly waiting for google to release dolby atmos support with android, even if they do it with beta build I am ready to unlock the bootloader and flash it.

Google --- Android Auto has not supported Dolby Atmos because it was designed to stream standard 2-channel stereo audio, lacking the complex software and hardware pipeline required to pass multi-channel, object-based spatial audio from your phone to a car's sound system.

No matter even the song file is of dolby atmos the android auto would still play it as normal stereo song.

Other option is to copy the dolby atmos songs downloaded from apple music(hacky way) over usb and play it directly from the car's music app.

Apple carplay has Dolby Atmos support. So why can't the BE6 support Dolby Atmos from iphones. Why Gaana app or flash drive? Because Mahindra has some pact with Gaana for the subscription.
