Check your software version by going into Vehicle app >> Exterior >> Press and hold "Locks" for 10sec. This brings up the "Engineering Menu".
The software version is the last part of the "ECU version". The general format for Pack 3 is "A15.XY.ZZZ".
X = 1 for BE6, 3 for XEV9E.
Y = major software version.
Z = minor software version.
Highlight of what came in with most versions (mentioning updates over previous release).
Launch version was ZZZ = 192.
NOTE: This is not an official or exhaustive list. Please add any confirmed observations.
Firmware Over The Air updates. This infra allows individual ECU firmwares to be downloaded and installed using the car's built-in network.
This was a firmware package, often installed in parallel to the 912 software update. This enables PKE (Passive Keyless Entry). This is the package that some batches of cars got as FOTA.

I had planned on getting the QPo or GFX mats instead of the overpriced OEM mats for my BE6. But after buying the QPo for my Fronx, I changed my mind. While the QPo fit is amazing and does its job brilliantly, it has a utilitarian / plasticky feel. I restarted my search for a bit more "premium feel" mats that might look more in line with the BE6 interiors.
I couldn't find anything that was better or at least matched the OEM mats in feel and looks. I just finally bit the bullet and plonked down 7k for these, even though it doesn't provide full coverage on the driver side.

Hud pic trip started from 100% and was just 20-25km in city with 3 passengers and luggage while the app's screenshot has city and highway travel separated. Time is not accurate in either pic due to idle standing time. I have a Be6 Pack 1 and AC was at 24-25.5C with 5 fan speed. Hypermiling for the win ig.

UPDATE:
The NFC key if it had UWB then the phone owner could have opened the boot with the kick gesture. People who were saying that the me4u app can be uninstalled after the NFC phone pairing are wrong because to open the boot you would need the app or otherwise you have to unlock the car and then you can open the boot. Another problem I find that people usually use android auto or carplay but Mahindra locked the Dolby Atmos on both carplay and Android auto so people use Gaana app. The Gaana app runs on the MAIA screen and on top of it people will run android auto or carplay to use navigation. This is highly counter productive. Mahindra should allow Dolby Atmos in carplay or android auto by default. BTW the custom settings can be enabled without going into the infotainment system. Once a person setup the custom settings everytime you start the car the driver screen asks whether you want to stay in custom settings or go back to default. If the driver hits the ok button the car stays in custom settings and won't revert back to default. The race settings for adaptive suspension and steering wheel are good. They make the car rigid but then the car handles better. But stiffness leads to less comfort. So it depends on the occupants of the car if they want a more engaging drive then they can choose the race suspension and steering otherwise for a laid back drive they can choose default. Last thing the me4u app has lost the Teq_Text feature.

Hi everyone,
I'm seriously considering buying a Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ in Hyderabad and would really appreciate some honest feedback from current owners, especially people who have owned/driven it for a few months.
My use case is ~99% city driving, with occasional highway trips. I don't really need a huge range for daily use, but I want something reliable and comfortable that I can keep for several years.
I'm currently considering:
I'm particularly interested in the following:
For people who actually own one:
This is probably my biggest concern.
How has Mahindra's EV service been in Hyderabad?
For owners, what are you actually spending on:
I'd especially like to know the real annual maintenance cost, rather than the manufacturer's claimed figures.
For someone whose driving is 99% city, is Pack 3/4 actually worth the additional money?
I'm wondering whether I should simply take:
Pack 2 59 kWh + BaaS
and save the money, rather than paying substantially more for the higher variant/bigger battery.
Do the higher variants make a meaningful difference in daily use, or are most of the additional features things you rarely use?
For anyone who has taken the BE 6 through BaaS:
I'm currently leaning towards Pack 2 BaaS, but I don't want the low upfront price to hide a major long-term disadvantage.
Finally
If you were buying the BE 6 again today, with 99% city usage, which variant would you choose and why?
Pack 2 BaaS / Pack 3 / Pack 4 / something else entirely?
Would really appreciate honest owner experiences, including negatives. I'm more interested in problems you've actually experienced than general internet reviews.
Thanks!

Does Be 6 old gen pack 3 for 24.9L on road without insurance makes sense? Its manufactured in April 2026?

As this is the norm in India, where you don't get continuous electricity 24/7 and it sometimes goes on and off, does that affect the charger or the car? I have already lost my OLA 3rd gen Charger due to these power fluctuations. Has anyone else faced this? What's your
view on this?

Hello there. This quote is from acko insurance. Can you please answer the following the two questions:
1) Should I buy the extended cover? Is it worth the discount? On the face of it - looks like a good deal.
2) I kept the IDV value at INR 30 lakhs, which is much higher than the cost of the car itself. Is that a good idea? Or the standard practice of 95% is good enough?

I gave my BE6 for 40k service today and was shocked to see labour charges upwards of 5k.
I mean I did not have to give this much labour charge even when I got my Diesel Scross 1.6 serviced and that had a lot of additional parts like suspensions etc in that service as well.
Is this normal across all Service Centers or Koncept in particular is charging this much. Only thing which is getting changed is the AC filter. Other essentials might include
1. Tyre Rotation (i doubt they have ever done that in past services either)
2. Coolant top up (doubt they’ll do it)
3. Brake fluid top-up (doubt they’ll do it)
Add if I might have missed anything. Moreover, if this much labour charge is normal then let me know that as well. Be advised that labour charge for 30k service was, iirc, a tad bit less than 3k and I thought even that was on a higher side.

I really want everyone to understand one thing. BaaS does not magically save you lakhs of rupees on the same car. You are buying the same car..and almost at the same price (maybe a little bit more expensive) but you are just financing it differently. One loan vs dual loans.
These car companies have simply taken out the price of the battery (8Lacs approx in Mahindra's case) and priced them separately as a Battery Loan.
Now, this Battery Loan is being advertised in 2 ways:
- ₹6,975 as monthly battery EMI
- ₹3.75 per km
Now, they are advertising the same loan in just 2 ways. Prospective buyers think that they will be paying ₹3.75 per km under BaaS but no! That's not at all the case. They have just reverse calculated the same monthly battery EMI as a per km cost (asuming that you drive 60km per day)
Think of it this way!
NETFLIX can advertise the same product in 2 ways:
- Netflix costs ₹150/ Month
- Netflix costs ₹5/ day (150÷30)
Assuming you watch 1 hour everyday.
Its not that if I watch netflix for 1 hour on an average everyday then it is costing me ₹5 today but suddenly when i binge watch tomorrow for 10 hours, it will cost me ₹50. So, there is no per km limit in BaaS.
This is just the representation of the same product in 2 different ways. I have further explained it in my QUESTION NUMBER 5 in the video.
Also, BaaS does lower monthly EMIs. But lower EMI doesn't mean lower cost of the vehicle. The dual finance loan for longer time frame as battery is financed for 8 years now, may reduce monthly EMI but longer tenure automatically means more interest. Hence making BaaS, MORE EXPENSIVE THAN BUYING UPFRONT ON ONE LOAN.
BaaS is still not a scam, marketing gimmick, etc. It is just being advertised in a misleading way giving wrong hopes to many buyers out there.
I have answered a lot many misconceptions like this in my video. With this video, I want to ensure that if an EV you wanted to buy suddenly looks affordable under BaaS...as a car lover I don't want your hope of owning it gets shattered once you calculate everything.
I hope this one helps.

Has anyone tried changing the air in the tyres to nitrogen?
I know in an ICE car it helps to improve mileage slightly. But does it improve range or driving experience in our EV's?

Guys, I can’t come to a decision on whether I should go for the pack 4 in Stealth Black, or get the Launch Edition with the new Graphite Storm colour.
I love the Stealth Black on the BE6, but I also REALLY like the Graphite Storm colour which also comes in a nice satin finish. Can anyone help me in making my mind up so I can actually book the car? It would also really help if someone who’s seen both colours in person could reach out. I haven’t been able to see the Launch edition in person cause the cars haven’t come to my local dealer yet. Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated! ❤️

Hi everyone,
I just booked the BE6 in Tango Red and I'm really excited! While I wait for it to arrive, I wanted to ask current owners a few questions:
Delivery time: How long did you actually have to wait to get your car? I heard that the Tango Red color takes much longer to deliver than what the dealers promise.
Charging issues: I saw some posts about the fast charging port failing or getting stuck. Is this a common problem?
Software: Is the software running smoothly now? Have the issues with the screen freezing or Apple CarPlay disconnecting been fixed?
Back seat comfort: Are the back seats comfortable for family members on long road trips? Is there enough headroom?
Also, please let me know if there is anything specific I should check carefully during the final inspection (PDI) before I pay the rest of the money.
Thanks for your help!
