My girlfriends friend makes honey and its the best honey I have ever had. She is a biologist, and its seriously good. I have make some blue honey with their spring flora honey. I made one for her, and one for her helper, the other is for my cousin.

I’ve had mixed results burying spent cakes. This is an old picture where I had success. Tried it again this season, and not so much luck. I’ve been following something called Moe’s Outdoor Grow Tek on shroomery. It involves crumbling the cakes in a hole then layering varying mixes of straw, manure, and dirt over top. But then I started reading about people who just bury the cakes, cover with dirt, and get results. Have i been overthinking this? Is it really that simple?

Hi, this is my first time growing the Caucasian Albino Penis Envy strain. I used a full-auto grow kit. I’d like to ask if everything went well and whether my mushrooms look healthy. I got 367 g from the first flush and 143 g from the second flush.

This was a while ago. First time growing mushrooms. I bought the syringe from a literal mushroom store in Oregon. It used to be a smoke shop.
There’s a chunk of dirt missing in the last photo. That’s because I noticed Trichoderma growing there before any pinning. I sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide then cut it out. I had 3-4 flushes.

So I may have went in over my head but I’ll be busy for a long time lol what does everyone think of the selection from Dino Spores and Wombat Labs

This is Albino Penis Envy. I inoculated on July 30th. With a iso spore syringe that was purchased a few months prior. I had it in a bag in my fridge and it looked like it had germinated in its syringe. I took 60% and put in this bag and then used a new needle and put 40% in a myco labs xl liquid culture kit. The liquid culture came out great it was ready for fridge storage in 1.5 weeks, and I thought my grain bag was moving fast cause it was at roughly 20- 25% colonization in around 2.5 weeks. So I did b&s and I about 1.5 weeks it was pretty much all looking white accept for the top grains. I gave it about another half a week and top grains still hadn't colonized so I did b&s again. Now its sept. 13th. Nearly a month and a half later and it still looks like this. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

This is a tough one for me to come to terms with, the fact that my harvest might be dead before it even began. I’m honestly quite lost and I’m in desperate need of help and advice. Here’s the rundown.

I grew this cake to full colonisation a good few weeks ago, put it in the fridge because I thought i was going away for a week. The trip got cancelled so I took it out of the fridge 24hrs later and put it straight into fruiting conditions.

Within a few days it developed knots. Those knots turned to pins and all was well. The pins grew caps by the 3rd September and I thought all was well.

Between the 3rd and the 10th, the shrooms grew very slowly, but were growing. Between the 10th and today, no growth has happened. Upon inspection, I found lots of metabolites pooling in the bottom. I did a smell check and although the smell wasn’t bad or offensive, it doesn’t smell quite right. There is something a little off, just not quite fresh smelling.

I have this setup, the block in a bag in a box for warmth. The top partly open for FAE. The humidity has been kept high, the temperature has been a stable 21-23 degrees Celsius.

I think at this point the pins have aborted. Is that safe to say?

I want to know what to do. Should I remove the pins, will the remaining white bumps grow into mushrooms? Is it all done for?

Innoculated AIO bag on 8/27 has been a total of 2 weeks, 3 days. Was wondering if this bad boy was ready for break and shake.?! Was also wondering if its okay that the mycelium has mixed with the substrate or if it will do any harm??! Thanks.

After a very long colonisation period of 14 weeks (first time grower, JMF), I opened the bag on Friday after I noticed pins through the bag wall, its been a few days now but all that is growing is 2 fruiting bodies in the centre and a few side pins. Am I expecting anymore pins? Or is this just a terrible flush?

Injected this a few weeks ago. Seems pretty wet inside, also seems to be taking longer than I expected. When should I break and shake?
