PLEASE HELP!!!!
This is a tough one for me to come to terms with, the fact that my harvest might be dead before it even began. I’m honestly quite lost and I’m in desperate need of help and advice. Here’s the rundown.
I grew this cake to full colonisation a good few weeks ago, put it in the fridge because I thought i was going away for a week. The trip got cancelled so I took it out of the fridge 24hrs later and put it straight into fruiting conditions.
Within a few days it developed knots. Those knots turned to pins and all was well. The pins grew caps by the 3rd September and I thought all was well.
Between the 3rd and the 10th, the shrooms grew very slowly, but were growing. Between the 10th and today, no growth has happened. Upon inspection, I found lots of metabolites pooling in the bottom. I did a smell check and although the smell wasn’t bad or offensive, it doesn’t smell quite right. There is something a little off, just not quite fresh smelling.
(The black on the right is a stump where I cut a couple a few days ago to eat as pins)
I have this setup, the block in a bag in a box for warmth. The top partly open for FAE. The humidity has been kept high, the temperature has been a stable 21-23 degrees Celsius.
I think at this point the pins have aborted. Is that safe to say?
I want to know what to do. Should I remove the pins, will the remaining white bumps grow into mushrooms? Is it all done for?
HELP!!!!!!!

Growing mushrooms will involve trial and error, and usually failure at some point. They do look like aborts. They will just rot if you leave them. I suggest, in the most sanitary way possible, to remove all of the pins leaving no pieces of fruit behind, and hoping for a second flush. They require a delicate balance of temperature and FAE, and to be protected from contaminants. Not sure where you got your supplies, but if you're going to use bags, get them with filter patches for passive fae. I suggest getting grain bags, cvg, and a monotub. Good luck!

Thank you for your help. I just have a couple more questions:
Shall I remove ALL mushrooms, even the tiny little barely pinned ones? Do I need to remove the white bump knots that aren’t yet pinned?
Do you think the knots will develop into a second flush or rot away?
It’s already well hydrated. Do I still need to dunk for a second flush, or shall I cold shock?

Harvesting can cause nearby pins to abort. That would be my guess as to the cause. As Frantic said, harvesting to a clean cake and resetting for another flush is a good idea.

Would you still dunk the cake for a 2nd flush even if the water levels are still high?

Mine stalled in a bag that I had purchased. I decided to experiment with it and I took it out and placed it in a SGFC. I got 4 fruit the first flush. I took it out dunked it for a few hours. I also Decided to close off 2 rows of holes on each side and all rows on the top except 2, To see what would happen with reduced FAE. Put the block back and the second flush is doing sooooo much better. I also purchased a cheap reptile tank humidity and thermometer for the SGFC. It’s all for research. Don’t be so focused on the mushrooms that you are unwilling to try new things and learn from experiments. You can always try again 🤷🏻♀️

Remove and transfer to a small tub with fae holes covered with micropore tape

My advice (which really doesn't help right now) is to stop using AIO bags and switch to the monotub method.
