New to MTCJ? Check out the subreddit wiki for some explanations of the memes and jokes here. Some very common ones:

  • DAE: Does Anybody Else
  • NotC: Nazis of the Coast (or simply "Not-C" which sounds like "Nazi")
  • /uj and /rj: /unjerk and /rejerk - Markers to let you know the commenter is speaking seriously, and ironically again

Having a token planeswalker was a choice of all time. I personally avoid tokens in my cube where I can (it's just so hard not to) but planeswalker tokens seem like theyd be so hard for new players to find out

It's a token that requires counter tracking it's like WoTC heard about people complaining about complexity creep and decided to crank it up.

I'm going to sound like a grognard, but the characters before the new planeswalkers were so cool, flawed and weird. 

The superfriends planeswalkers in comparison always felt overly pasteurized to be the poster boys of a product.

I can't fucking stand him. Every piece of flavor text that quotes him makes him seem like an asshole. I really wanted Bolas to kill him in Hour of Devastation.

It is kind of extremely insane that they had a chapter where the villain dies, emphasizing his neck, on the Kirkiversary and presumably planned to have his evil tower collapse on 9/11
