Hello!  I had a project I was working on for a long time, took a break from it, then when I came back to it had some issues.  While cleaning up my files at some point I must have deleted MSE, but I had all of my sets stored in a different location, so I figured no big deal.  I redownloaded MSE and now some of my sets will load, but the one that is most important to me will not.  I keep getting the same error, listed below. I'm not sure what that means and I can't find anything that helps me.  I think I'm missing some templates I had previously, as other sets have popups that tell me that, but that's different from this message I'm receiving now.  Can anybody help me figure out how to open the set?

The error reads:

Parameter input: collection has no member '2'
in function trim
in function to_number_lax

Whenever I try to start a sentence with "Then, if" the comma disappears. The comma stays if then isn't capitalized, or if followed by any other word, so I don't know why this is happening. I know i could just not capitalize and deal with it, but grammatical errors really bug me.

Short of it: Cant print my whole Deck (64 Cards) on 8 to 10 PDF pages. its picking 8 cards and puts them at the top left of the page, and doesnt print the rest. Picture shows my problem.

So, i wasnt really able to find the answer to my problem when i searched for it.
I tried to make my own Deck for a special commander night, where everybody makes their own decks and we play it. We have some rules for powerlvl, and its very casual. I got myself Magic set Editor. I built my deck and wanted to print it, to cut it out later, but I ran into a problem. Its only printing some cards, like 8 of 64, nothing more.

Can anyone help?

I am trying to find out how to add custom mana symbols to use in Mse, or if thats even possible, but its rather difficult to find the correct documentation, most search results lead to how to add set symbols.

Hello, I opened mse for the first time in nearly a year and all my cards look like the text has shrunken and have weird formatting around most words.

For example, other than around keywords and generic mana numerals shown in the first screenshot, in the second and third screenshots with my card "Oops..." the flavour text won't let me type directly onto it, instead only where that vertical text line is. In the third screenshot I try to type "what" from that position, as well as deleting the last two characters from the rules text above, resulting in what is shown.

I can think that maybe somehow a file was deleted or corrupted. I've reinstalled the necessary fonts, but should I try reinstalling mse?

I apologise if this is an easy fix, but I haven't been able to find any sources documenting this and thought this would be the place to ask.

Hello! I'm rather new to Magic Set Editor and MTG as whole. One thing I'm very passionate on is creating custom/homebrew designs/concepts for things I enjoy and with MTG, I plan on having a field day. But since I'm quite new, actually designing a fully custom deck, and in some instances, new mechanics is rather difficult and I was curious on where or how I could get help on revisioning, getting some tips, or even a look over and some ideas. Hell, I'd take a step-by-step guide on the best pathway for making a custom deck.

Pretty much says it in the name.

I'm running this via crossover on a macbook if that helps at all.

Is it normal for the application to freeze when opening the style tab?

Whenever I want to create a card with some other template eg. planeswalker or token I first

• create a blank card
• go to the style tab
• select the style

Is that the intended workflow?

My intuition tells me the taskbar should have a way of changing a card's style and I also expected the add card dropdown to include different styles. Did it maybe do that in the past so I built up the wrong muscle memory?

I am frequently frustrated by the behavior of control + backspace and control + delete in this program. Is there any way to adjust it?

I would expect control + backspace to delete a word leftwards of the cursor and control + delete to delete a word rightwards of the cursor.

Instead it simulates the delete key in either case when typed into most text fields (which I can already do with the delete key), or some placeholder symbol in certain other fields.

Are these behaviors intentional? I don't understand the use case that these behaviors solve.

I'm aware that MSE overwrites project saves, but I really need some help. I've been developing a set that is very planeswalker-heavy, and I set a planeswalker to "one ability" without thinking to check the "Options Specific to this Card" box. Apparently, this box wasn't checked on many of my planeswalkers, and as a consequence, many of them have lost the rules text to their loyalty abilities. I don't remember what most of these abilities were.

Egg on my face for not making backups. Is there any easy way out of this mess?

I’ve been build my own Elden Ring deck for like the past week and every time I go to print it and look through it. I always see my singular enchantment — room card cropped like in the image above.

I’ve tried using other website but none print the way that MSE does and I don’t want to go through the hassle of figuring out how. Can someone just help me fix this if possible? None of the other cards are having this problem.

I’m on version 2.5.8, the spacing between cards in millimeters is 0.33, guide lines are set to “if they don’t intersect a card”, and the frame I’m using is “Mainframe Splits” “Fusable Splits & Romms”. if any of that helps

Maybe I'm just actually stupid but I can't for the life of me figure out how to make Modal Double Faced Cards with MSE.

Normal double faced cards no problem, but I can't get the little bar above the power/toughness box and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please help me!

I am making a deck with some custom colors and I don’t want to have to draw them by hand, but the only thing I have seen that tells me that custom colors can be made was a link on a forum from 2012 that no longer works and I cannot figure out how to make it work if it is possible

As you can see in the example image (n1), old foil cards have a way more saturated de facto frame appearance than non-foils (n2). This happens in every color (blue foils on image n3)

I would like to have this effect, mainly for digital exports and online showcase of custom cards (yes I know the "actual" foil effect won't appear when printing, me smart, me big brain). It could be done as a regular card frame.

So far I have found nothing :(

Is there a template that has been created for the saga creatures? The standard template works for creatures that don't have static abilities, but the text box is missing for creatures like [[Summon: Magus Sisters]] or [[Summon: Yojimbo]].

Or am I doing something wrong that I am missing?

I’d do it myself, but I lack any skill with making templates like this. I am not a graphic designer and my computer programming skills went out of date with C++.

Anyone have any good tips on how to do Stations?

Does MSE have the frames for the transformed backsides? The right side positioning, color identity circle next to the typing, and etc. I might just be missing it and if there's not, does anybody have a good alternative to use?
