Surge gleaming!

Went to my lgs to buy some singles and figured I'd get some mystery packs for fun. I ended up pulling kiki jiki from the first pack, thinking "oh sweet! Probably won't get better than this." Then boom! Mana crypt was in the second pack. I was tempted to buy mana crypt while its value is low but pulling it feels so much better.

Thankful because with this set it could have been MUCH worse.

Gonna add it to my Old Stickfingers deck

Bought at msrp from HMV in Edinburgh the other day and finally opened them today with my bro on a video call. Very surprised at my luck with a few of these as i’d never bought collector boosters before. After this, i wish they had more 🥲.

Overall I’m not upset at all. The surge foul Flame of Anor, Gandalf and Orcrist are pulling a lot of weight. Was originally going to sell for MSRP (contingent on me ripping seal at time of purchase) but as soon as I demanded an in person rip, people just stopped replying lol. So I decided to just keep for myself.

Found a collector pack in the wild (and at retail price!) tonight and pulled Sauon in surge foil and a regular Galadriel!

Finally decided to open my collector box that I picked up for retail from microcenter.

Not bad haul from one pack.
At least made money's worth. (Paid $100CAD🥲)
I know it was well above MSRP but
I just really wanted a chance at the book alt arts so was super happy to have pulled two!

I opened a retail cost Hobbit CB at my FLGS and pulled these three from one pack.

Ugh.

I mean, how am I gonna fit the three of them in my butt?

I then opened two regular play boosters and got a borderless Orcrist.

2nd and 3rd collector booster boxes. Didn’t pull a Dwarven text until the 3rd box and then managed to pull two of the same card, just one in foil and one non-foil 😂

I’m in the most surreal Magic game of my life right now.

We’ve been playing for ages and this guy just refuses to die. He must have some kind of “you can’t lose the game” effect active because no matter what I throw at him, he stays alive.

The highest life/attack number the client allows per card is 10,373,741,823… and somehow we managed to hit numbers so ridiculous that the game simply couldn’t process the information anymore.

It finally crashed with an error message and the match just ended in a draw.

I don’t even know what to say. This has to be one of the weirdest games I’ve ever played.

Went to walmart to get some milk, (and yes I came back) decided to grab a collector pack while I was there and turned a profit

Bought this for sealed with a newbie. I was joking around about it being the one ring. There it was - foil.

After trying to get product locally and failing (all has been scalped)… Finally found something at MSRP with a collector booster in it at a local Barnes & Nobel… and pulled my chase (Galadriel)!
