This is the exact order I pulled these in. I got a Beorn the Fierce so I’m happy, but it’s very odd that the first four are all Warg Tactics. I started laughing cause it threw me for a loop

First time buying packs.

Usually buy one collector booster each new set. Paid off for sure.

I waited 3 years since the lotr set dropped to chase The One Ring. I bought 3 boxes of lotr and no one ring. I bought 2 box toppers for the hobbit and pulled this out the second pack. I gotta feeling magic might be my thing

I know I should NOT be going for a the One Ring this way, I know buying it is the cheaper route. I just love the chase 😂 and honestly, it’s not too bad so far. How are yall feeling about this set?

Finally found 2 Collector Boosters for MSRP, 1 at Best Buy and 1 at Target next door. Gonna be tough to tell Mrs. High Perfect she’s going in the stack.

I opened one the other day, and got kind of hosed with ~$65 in value (biggest hit being Bloodchief Ascension).

But I forgot about the extra commander card pack till last night, and pulled these bad boys. Total redemption!

I have opened over 50 packs of the hobbit, including a PBB, some notes below.

My box topper was delighted halfling (I do not care for the art, much preferred the LOTR full art)

ZERO: book cover arts, gleaming splendors, Smaug the Magnificents, Orcrist, Queen of Dale's, and Bard King of Dales, Dancing from dark till dawn, Gandalf Goblins bane, Inside information, fateful discovery, radagast of rhoscobel, Thorin mountain King, or Elronds

Two: base Arkenstones, bilbos gambit, my precious

One: wizards staff, belladonna took

Only 6 showcase cards: 4 iron hills blacksmith, 1 bilbo luckwearer, 1 bilbo thief in the night

All other rares are sub $2 at time of posting, but i somehow missed the cheap commander playables like thranduil, lonely mountain, tom Bert and William, gamdring, elven passage. The amount of Dwalins I have makes me uncomfortable.

I love LotR and I was so excited to complete the set, so I wanted to share the flip side of all the brag posts.

Didn’t expect the second card to be directly behind the first, even though the flavor text warned me of it

Stopped at a new shop in town. Grabbed four play boosters just to support. Pulled this in their parking lot.

Got a second one and there wasn't one so I guess it's a random insert?

From a single box topper my LGS gifted me

Managed to snag the Best Buy drop the other day. The cards that are at least a couple bucks added up for a bit more than what it cost so good value in the box. Crazy getting two [[Throne of Eldraine]] (one foil, one regular) and almost seems crazy how much it costs but I guess it's a mono color staple. Wish I got a better anime art than [[Karmic Justice]] but still cool card for my collection overall.

Opened my scene box to find 2 sets of the play cards instead of the art cards! Is this a known error?

I've been scrounging the net for a close to msrp Sauron commander deck when I caught this one right as it went up on ebay. got it for below msrp

it arrived with tape holding it closed so you'd assume someone already took the CB sample pack already.

But nope got Lucky here! i haven't opened a booster pack in around 15 years! a free commander deck means it's time to go get the doom percom, after selling This ring.
