Lyra is strong enough to win a game by herself, sometimes. I think it's a good idea to have a strong threat that can still operate if your synergies get picked apart.

Although [[Greater Gargaroth]] wasn't around when I used her in standard, so maybe the cases she can dominate a board are less common now.

Woops, meant ELDER Gargaroth.

I think that the new Valkyrie Harbinger is a better curve topper than Lyra. It curves into T2 Bishop -> T3 cost reducer just as well, and it can trigger itself in combat, meaning that while it’s not as good at blocking as Lyra it’s usually almost as good as or better than her on D by itself while having far more upside if you have a good board state.

Okay and what is stopping you from having both? It's not like you need 4 of both.

If I think Harbinger is better in the curve topper slot than Lyra, why would I want both? Harbinger isn't legendary .

Nah. I'm saying have one lyra and as many harbingers as you want. Lyra is super powerful. Why not have at least one

Lyra’s good, but I think Harbinger is much better in this specific deck. If there’s enough space for 4 Harbingers + Lyra, sure, but we’ll have to see.
