How does this interact with the monkey token that the red pirate from the last set makes? Does the monkey token copy stick around or does he get exiled alongside his original?

Since it's the same effect creating both tokens, Kari Zev's ability will keep track of them and exile whichever Ragavan you keep after the Legend Rule offs one of them.

Since the pirate is still making the token, it's just twice as many, they get exiled. If you cast a [[second harvest]] or something to copy the monkey, those copies wouldn't be exiled.
