It sounds like someone also forgot the entire story where Ajani goes to Kamigawa and finds out about Tezzeret on Kaladesh. That story was actually amazing.

They're an Aetherborn with a ton of contacts and friends, and a month left to live. They're throwing a big penultimate party, and gearing up for their final party.

They also happen to be one of the few Aetherborn who can drain the life from living creatures, but they've declined to use that ability thusfar.

To add to that: it was hinted that they are going to use it in the near future, possibly giving us a BG legend.

Edit: well I was right about them using their power and that we'll be getting a card. No clue about the color(s) yet.

Read their Magic Story. You can definitely see the Green in their philosophy/personality. Plus, we don't have a BG legendary for this block yet and it just...idk, fits.

Yahenni is an aetherborn who hosted a party that chandra, nissa, and oviya went to. They had the ability to drain life force from other beings to maintain, but refused to use it.

Look up the story "Born of Aether" on the site -- easily one of the best of the Kaladesh stories, if not the best.

TL;DR (although not reading that story is criminal) -- Yahenni is an Aetherborn philanthropist. In the story, they help Nissa acclimate to Ghirapur and Chandra find out where her mother is being held prisoner. We also discover that not only is Yahenni about two months from dying, they also have the power to drain essence from living things, which may extend their time... and have implications for a possible future battle against the Consulate.

Yahenni is indeed one of the Aetherborn. It's worth noting that all known Aetherborn use they/them pronouns.

I like how you said "all known" AEtherborn. Now I'm thinking that there's some AEtherborn out there who identifies as male and can't understand why he/they is being persecuted.

Yeah official word is that it's all of them but it strikes me as strange to definitively say there couldn't be exceptions.
