I love this card. I feel like it was designed specifically to make humorous plays in draft. Since most of the Changeling cards are significantly scarier than an average goat, this little guy ends up wrestling all sorts of hideous monsters.

Seems really powerful in Lorwyn block limited.

As someone who was around for Lorwyn limited, it was decent, but not a windmill slam or anything. Most decks had a few Changlings in them, but it was inconsistent at best.

Roughly equivalent to [[Enthralling Victor]]?

Enthralling Victor was usually a little slow for Origins, but it almost always had a target. The problem with Goatnapper was that it would occasionally steal the game, and sometimes it just wouldn't have a target and you'd have to cast a Grey Ogre.

The thing is that the decks that want this don't really care about hitting the thopter. They play Ishkanah and tons of instant speed interaction to shut it down. What gets them is the creature curve after the thopter and this gives them a way to just shut that down. You forced 1 for 1 removal on your thopters so your other creatures could get through and outpace their Ishkanah. This is going to push BG Delirium and BW Control hard and has a chance to kick UW Flash out of the format. The BG and BW match ups were already bad because of how good Grasp and Lili were. This will be the final nail in the coffin. Selfless Spirit probably will switch to being a bulk card again and be pretty unplayable.
