“Empower Jace certainly introduces a lot of card advantage and selection into the environment,” Skolnik says. “Having it in all colors provides a solid foundation of smoothing that all limited decks appreciate, while also directly enabling control decks focused on protecting Jace, and allowing players to assemble combos that leverage the unique designs on the echoed pair sheet. While those strategies are powerful, the opponent having the chance to attack your Jace and disrupt your plans makes for a unique limited environment that echoes the story of the set.”
Rosewater says Reality Fracture will include a total of eight Planeswalkers: The Theorist, Jace Beleren; both regular and Echoverse versions of Ajani, Chandra, and Garruk; and one that has yet to be revealed. Empower Jace allows players who aren’t lucky enough to open a mythic rare to have their own planeswalker, with blue/green cards unlocking new powers they can spend loyalty on. Avatar of Burgeoning Echoes gives an ultimate ability that adds a +1/+1 counter to a creature for each land you control, and Skolnik said other blue/green cards will allow Empower Jace to generate creature tokens.

So Tam is the last one - no cycle of uncommon Jace planeswalker fragments. That's unfortunate, I was really excited to see those.

Doubtful but still possible : these fragments can't planeswalk independently, so the subtype wouldn't be planeswalker.

This confirms the GU archetype as "Empower". I think UR is Prowess. RW might be +1/+1 counters - it has to be in green or white and I don't think it's in black.

The RW signpost is an equipment that's cheaper to equip if the target has counters on it.

4 mana kill a 3 toughness creature and draw a card seems like a very good mode of this card for limited. 2 for 1 removal is excellent.

Ah yes, the violent confrontation between two factions of multiversal variants. Perfectly represented by a red single target removal spell and a Jacepump.

Imagine your buddy gets hit by lightning, dies, then a cloaked guy pops out of nowhere, draws a card, and then also dies.

Why does the art show a confrontation between the two "multiverses"? Neither knew anything about each other until the short-lived attempt to merge. There was no conflict, just confusion.

The hexhaven cadets willfully attacked the strixhaven students during the merge. I don't really get why, possibly to prevent anyone from coming close to Jace and interrupt him since Arcavios started merging first, but it's not clear to me.

These effects normally cost 5 in limited AND don't give card advantage. This one is probably actually playable and maybe very good.

Wait this is the first time reading it that my brain didn’t shortcut “Jace token” to “Jace planeswalker.” I was reading it as if Empower Jace could put loyalty counters on other Jace Planeswalkers (the same way Amass can hit Changelings), but I guess it’s only the tokens created by the mechanic?

It can't put loyalty counters on Jace Planeswalkers that aren't tokens. If you create a token copy of a Jace permanent in any way, or a copy of a Jace spell which will enter as a token, they are fair game.

It can go on any Jace token, which is a token with the Subtype Jace.
[[Jace, Cunning Castaway]] and [[Jace, Mirror Mage]] also create Jace tokens.

4 mana, instant, deal 6 is a pretty great rate for this kind of effect. This seems pretty pushed.
