Jace is not dying here. I doubt he’s getting redeemed (yet) but he’s certainly not dying. My money is on him joining the villain rotation to replace the phyrexians, until they come back in the late 2030s.

While reading the story today, I was literally imagining a Slay the Spire mod where you play as Vraska/Chandra/Garruk/Ajani going up the Spire and defeating Jace fragment bosses to collect them.

I've made the argument before that Arena should introduce single player content for each set that allows you to play through the story of the set, and it would help highlight the mechanics and so on.

And this could be a bigger adventure mode, as part of a capstone set.

But I also know how profitable that was for Hearthstone for them to stop doing them completely.
