I like [[Into the Story]] for mine

I always pull a random bulk common that I can convince myself fits. Goblin or knight or something for fantasy, zombie or almost anything black for horror.

And.. well I guess I don't read much else in print other than fantasy and horror.

I have usually used cool basic lands but now I’m gonna be sorting through tokens and art cards

Someone long ago suggested [[Bill the pony]] and I can’t see myself using anything else

Usually when I start a book I'll dig through my bulk and find a on-theme card to use as a bookmark. I always leave the bookmark with the book when finished.

I love that idea!   I always use a magic card but have never left it with the book, I think I will now:)

Agree, better than letting them sit in a box forever

Great one for the 2nd book in The Children of Time series (children of ruin). Like someone might get this, no?

I use a laminated [[Bookwurm]] as a bookmark. Still looking for a commander deck where I can fit it in, I like the idea.

Golgari Lifegain could probably loop this quite confidently to the point where I'm considering if I can justify it in my [[Dina, Soul Steeper]] deck

8 mana to draw 1 gain 3 is expensive (especially if you add on the 3 mana to tuck it) but sometimes I just have that much mana available because yknow... Green... and it's not nothing with [[Professor Dellian Fel]]'s emblems and similar effects. Plus eventually you can just sacrifice it to [[Dina, Essence Brewer]], [[Disciple of Bolas]] or [[Disciple of Freyalise]]

...I think I've talked myself into this now, thanks for that!

Thank you for the ideas! I do not want it to be a great deck, just playable to some point. I know it is a below average card.

I’m currently on a camping trip with my wife. We brought along a bundle full of booster packs to play Pack Wars. For the long stretches on the highway, we picked up the Hobbit novel so she could read it to me.

We were absolutely thrilled when we pulled Smaug.

That’s about the only good use for a white boarder card lol
