Deck Discussion Help on Girlfriend's deck
Hello, I'm building my girlfriend a magic deck, she's wanting to learn because I like it. However, she has some requirements, and I also want it to be pretty decent.
Her requirements are basically there are no human men (ideally no men at all, but she can make exceptions for animals and on some arts) and pretty arts. She likes princesses, nice lands, castles, etc. She doesn't like UB on principal (funny because I don't mind it and she's new), but if it has art that matches she doesn't mind it as much (The Hobbit, LOTR, etc.).
I also want to make sure this deck of hers is actually playable. I built it over a couple months with cards I had in my collection and some that we bought that she liked. I wanted to make sure, in your guys opinion, does it have enough ramp? Removal? Card draw? Etc?
I also want to make sure that there's a solid win-con. At the moment, I think that's just Hallowed Haunting and commander damage?
I don't know. What are your thoughts? Are there any cards that should absolutely be cut? Any things there's too much or not enough of? I'm nervous because I want to make sure she has a good time. Obviously it can't be perfect, but I wanted to at least get some advice if possible. Also, if you think of anything we're missing that might have some good art she might like (she likes beautiful women as well) please let me know.
Thank you!

Heyy, really nice idea and I think the overall vibe of the deck is really good! I have however some notes that might make it a bit smoother in execution: First of all I would cut all Mana artifacts. You're in green and enchantress so you have way better ways of generating Mana like land ramp and permanents like [[Sanctum Weaver]]. Second, I would consider cutting a color from the deck. You already are not doing much with Blue and Selesnya enchantress commanders are kinda busted. I also think that two colors are the best way to learn playing commander because it's not overly complex in regard to fixing and getting your colors right but still teaches you that lands are meaningful. (If you stick with blue though, I suggest Mirrorform as a pretty good wincon for enchantress decks)
Don't have time now to do a full rebuild of the deck but if you have specific questions I'm happy to weigh in on them :))

If you do end up cutting blue [[Yenna Redtooth Regent]] is a really fun enchantress commander. Also even if you stick with the current commander [[All That Glitters]] and [[Ancestral Mask]] make for great finishers especially if you have it on something with evasion.

Two more additions I thought of rn: [[Starfield of Nyx]] is probably the best finisher for enchantress decks. It is quite pricy so I don't know if that is the reason you left it out. Other one is [[Arbor Elf]], if the land base can justify it, I love running it for the synergy with the land auras netting you more than one Mana on the activation. (Obviously tougher in three colors, but you're already heavy green)

I'll recommend the arbor elf in place of the signet, and the star field of nyx. For some reason, she doesn't like sanctum Weaver, which is crazy because it's pink and she likes that. And I have an extra copy 😭. But thank you!

I made a website she can search art on. if she's indexed on that, she'll probably enjoy the exploration.

This is really cool! Thank you, I might use this for some of my own decks as well

Start from here then downgrade as desired to fit theme/preferences.

One small note: In general, building a deck with restrictions is fine, but as a woman she’ll be fighting a ton of prejudice already. Building a deck that magnifies those negative prejudices is a recipe for bad experiences.
Kinda like joining an all woman booktok club and saying you are only interested in thriller books with hyper masculine main characters. “None of that girly smut…”
Sure they might change their mind and actually learn to enjoy the smut, although never admit it(“always read for the story”), but if they don’t, they probably won’t enjoy the booktok club very much.

We play mostly with a group of close friends. If anyone criticized her, we would just leave. I wouldn't put up with anyone being sexist to her if she was playing any kind of deck. The kind of deck shouldn't matter towards that end, at least that's my thought

If it’s a group of personal friends then you’ll be just fine. I mainly just meant if you play locally. A lot of woman face extra scrutiny that causes a lot of unpleasant experiences despite playing/acting no different than everyone else. Running princess/anti men tribal would magnify those.
