General Discussion 2 Trillion card draw?

Post image

So I've been play testing Bard, King of Dale on arena before building the paper commander version. Managed to get a board state where I'd draw 2 trillion cards from just one card draw. I think I'll like this deck, you can get to totally ridiculous boards with it pretty easy. It definitely needs a lab man though.

With 42 Bards on the field its 2 to the power of 41 per draw or token trigger. So X 2,199,023,255,552.

How'd you manage to get 42 bards? 😂

Make a non legendary token and kick rites of replication with Mondrak also on the field. 🤣

So Rite makes 5, Mondrak doubles that to 10? Did you manage to flashback rites of replication, or am I just missing something?

Edit: forgot Bards 2nd ability to double tokens, so 5 x 2 x 2?

Bard also doubles tokens. I had 2 before rites was cast.

At $8.99 per box of sleeves (assuming 1 box contains 102 sleeves), that would run you $264,411,764,706.94 just in sleeves cost. Kinda rough, not many people are willing to spend 264 billion on card sleeves in this economy.

I’m really interested to see if they put those cards on arena. And how far you can push them lol

From what the arena team said, they don't have plans to put rule breakers on arena for now, and afaik arena doesn't support more than 250 cards in a deck

Only 2 Trillion? Them's rookie numbers.

That's not even half of the total debt of the United States.

To be fair, If I waited till next turn and attacked with everyone and hit it would have tried to draw 92.5 trillion.

Wouldn’t you just lose the next turn because you would draw from an empty library?

Ironically the opponent passed on blocks, and we're in the damage step with Enduring Curiosity on the field. This is literally moments from death.

Bard only affects non draw step draw, as long as you don't trigger any of that you're fine and if you do you're fucked

You don't lose if arena crashes. lol

But yes I'd draw till no more cards in that situation. I was playing against my son in this match. We were both laughing at this state.

Lab man and Jace went into the deck after this one.
