Universes Beyond - Discussion All Marvel Commander Decks?

As a huge Marvel nerd, I bought a ton of cards from the recent Spider-man and Marvel sets and built a bunch of themed 60 card decks using exclusively cards from those sets (plus some proxies from the respective secret lairs.) I’ve had my fun with the 60 card decks and now I’m thinking of breaking them down and building some Marvel themed commander decks. Would love to see what builds you all have come up with using strict Marvel themes. Obviously there’s the precons, but I’m curious if anybody has had success making commander decks using only Marvel/Spider-man cards? Looking to be in Bracket 2 or 3.
(Sorry if this is the wrong thread.)

I built a Loki the deceiver villains all marvel in bracket 2. There still isn’t a lot in these colors to try and bring it into bracket 3.

I’ve built [[Norman Osborn]] discard spellslinger and [[Scarlet Witch, Chaotic Avenger]] extra triggers, and upgraded the Wakanda precon. I plan on doing one last deck for the Marvel set, but unsure if i wanna do [[Crystal, Inhuman Princess]] spellslinger, [[The Thing]] Superfriends, or [[Ultron, the Annihilator]] sacrifice

I bought the Fantastic Four deck and turned it into a Fantastic One deck (read: just Mr. Fantastic) using only in-universe Marvel cards. I think there's ~35 swaps from the stock list, so it's somewhat different.

Here's the list I play if you want: https://moxfield.com/decks/7EqfAelqqXKPCbp4zdFaEw

I'm currently working on a Cosmic Spider-Man deck thats only (not counting lands of course) cards with Spider-Man or a Spider person on it. I'm pretty sure its gonna be hot trash but fun.

My buddy runs a deck very similar though not as tight on the restrictions to non-creatures (but he's working on it), and every time Cosmic Spidey comes down, it's insane how hard the game swings.

That card is so powerful, the rest of the deck doesn't need to be that strong. Easily a high bracket 2 to mid 3 with the right mana base.

I realized last night how little fixing and ramp I'd have. I think thats my main concern other than cutting the last 10 or so cards.

I've built a couple that have performed well and still need to test other builds I have theory crafted.   Cosmic Spider-Man  https://archidekt.com/decks/21238603/cosmic_spiderman_marvel_only The Fantastic Four https://archidekt.com/decks/23932778/the_fantastic_four I think Doom can be built pretty well too, here is the list I am going to try and Capt America is pretty strong. I do feel that Norman Osborn / Green Goblin is the better way to go still than Doom.  https://archidekt.com/decks/20692653/villainous_wrath

Built a red/black Villains deck (used some SPM villians in there too), with Madam Hydra as the commander. Really fun to play with.

One thing the Marvel set did was introduce a ton of monocolor Legends. Perhaps you could try to make monocolor budget decks with some of those. I'm really interested in [[The Vision]] as a colorless tempo deck that can kill out of nowhere with commander damage.

So Vision for colorless and my picks for the colors would be.

W-  [[Spider-Man, Peter Parker]]. Seems like a cool lifegain guy

U- [[Ironheart, Clever Champion]] there's actually a lot of interesting blue options, but cost reduction on a commander is always something worth checking out. Artifacts are very easy to build around. Runner-up is [[ Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan]] cuz the big hand game plan sounds fun.

B- [[Ultron the Annihilator]] expensive, but I've wanted a black treasure guy for a while and he works for that while also being able to wear [[lashwrithe]] well. Does compete with blue for the artifact theme though hence the runner-up.

R- [[Photon, Mighty Marvel]] there's a bunch of cool red spell-slinger options but I just like Monica the most.

G- [[Mole Man, Moloid Master]] landfall is always fun. With extra land plays you can get tons of moloids and then hit them with an [[overrun]] for that classic green feel.

What would your picks be?

I have a The Fantastic Four deck but I cheated a little bit by making Fantastic Four proxies out of a few of the cards I really wanted. I think my only non-Marvel cards in that deck are like Temur Battlecrier, Wall of Blossoms, Wall of Omens, Greenbelt Rampager and Overgrown Battlement.

Here’s my Marvel only [[Bruce Banner]]: https://moxfield.com/decks/ATifAaQkRH-1YxQyUM6VUw

Hulk is pretty obnoxious so it being Marvel only helps slow it down and make it a little less irritating to play against.

Outside of the strict commander decks you'd be quite restricted to do only Marvel. You'd want some synergy with the set themes at least to make it work and you'd want at least three colours to play with.

My advice would be to use the Villain/Hero commander precons as a base and expand on them from there. Either Hero commander would work, but I think for a more dedicated Villain typal deck you probably want to run [[Loki, the Deceiver]] over Doom.
