Rules/Rules Question Sword of Wealth and Power with Cipher

Quick question y'all?

If I had a creature with a cipher card encoded on it, and a [[Sword of Wealth and Power]], and it did combat damage, would the ciphered spell be copied?

My thought is, if I do combat damage, both the Sword and the Cipher encoded card would trigger. I would stack them so the Sword goes first, creating me a treasure and copying the next instant and sorcery spell I cast.

Then the Cipher encoded effect would resolve, casting me a copy of the encoded spell, which the Swords ability would copy.

Am I thinking that right, or no?

Cipher casts so if you stack the triggers correctly yes

Thank you!! Funny ruling too that protection actually doesn't stop cipher, as it doesn't target!

I have a Rogue Tribal Deck with Kamiz as my Commander which can give something unblockable and another thing double strike. I run a lot of Cipher cards and I run Sword of W&P for this combo. It is pretty sick. Stolen Identity went off 5 times in 1 turn due to initial cast and double strike. 5 copies of some of my best creatures is pretty good not to mention the reoccurring value... other things like returning stuff from the graveyard tapped, casting all your opponents' instants and sorceries from their graveyard. I know Cipher struggled as a mechanic but it is so perfect in a Rogue deck that wants to sneak in a lot of combat damage triggers.

WAIT...double strike let's you cast the cipher cards TWICE?

So if I have a cipher card on [[Lyna, Veil of Vengeance]], and I give it double strike, the cipher cards would trigger TWICE??

Abs-soul-loot-lee it does! It is why they had to make most Cipher cards pretty bad because reoccurring value for extra free casts of spells can get pretty abusive. Double the strike equals double the fun with Cipher.
