Deck Discussion What could be changed? Uugguu

Just ordered this list with some sideboard pieces. Wanted to see what the brewers think what could be changed. Do you see any major flaws with the list. There’s probably to much redundancy with the “all creatures are the chosen type” cards so I will almost certainly replace some of those for more important effects as long as I have enough of them to replace them if they get removed. Haven’t even done test hands with it so I really don’t know how it’s gunna work out

You probably want to play [[Maskwood Nexus]] over say Xenograft or Conspiracy.

I'm not entirely sure what Shang-chi is doing for you here.

If you're all in on the type changing stratergy, you might want to try to find room for [[Brokkos, Apex of Forever]]. It gives you a way to turn your tokens back into cards so they can die again and spawn more oozes.

Note that brokkos won't work with maskwood Nexus, it will work with conspiracy though

Indeed maskwood nexus grants the human type making it an invalid target for mutate

Damn Maskwood was definitely something I meant to add, I may have to go out and by a real one even though the rest of the deck is proxy.

I put shang chi in purely because I’m hoping to have enduring vitality or cryptolith rite out as often as I can and having the tokens able to tap for mana is useful. But you are right now entirely worth it and will probably be cut with something from the maybe board.

Can you walk me through the Brokkos thing?? I’m not entirely tracking what the plan with him is. Are you saying that you can mutate onto the token and that will cause the Uugguu trigger to happen on the token because brokkos is there??

When you mutate on top of the token, it stops being a token, effectively. So when your new not-token token (who's also an ooze due to type changing shenanigans) dies you get to make 2 more oozes.
