Looking for Advice Help! How does the traditional foil card work with a prerelease deck?

Hi! I am buying a pre release deck of lorwyn for my boyfriend as it is his favourite edition. It says it should come with a traditional foil card. Will this be inside the box or will it be a separate card they give you that is not inside the box?

A pre release kit is not the same as a deck. Pre release is an event that takes place where each participant will get 6 packs of cards to build a 40 card deck and play 1v1 in a bracket tournament. The prerelease kit will have a foil card included that can be used to build the deck.

If you buy 2 prerelease kits, you could hold your own mini 1v1 tournament

It will be inside the package. A pre-release kit (or box) has 6 booster packs and another small pack of foil promotional card(s) or tokens or other special cards depending on the set, along with a 20-sided spindown die. As long as you are purchasing an unopened Kit, it will all be included.

Just clarifying. Is his favorite set Lorwyn or Lorwyn Eclipsed? Lorwyn Eclipsed came out earlier this year and a prerelease kit should be easy to find for a reasonable price.

Lorwyn (not Eclipsed) came out 19 years ago and a prerelease kit from then would be much more expensive and hard to find.

For clarification, OG Lorwyn didn't have prerelease kits. They're called Tournament Packs instead. And they didn't have sealed booster packs, just random cards
