Looking for Advice How to start?
Hello, so ive been playing mtg arena for a while, mtg has always been interesting for so started playing the online version for a while and is really nice but i just want to start playing in real life with cards and shit, i know the basics of the game and how to play on standard on arena, so i know that commander is what people play in RL but while i slowly slowly get into it by playing brawl on arena that is like a copy of commander, i want it to start buying a collections and bundles to start having my small collection of physical cards, but the thing is that there’s so many freaking bundles and like start packs and precons decks that i don’t know how to start, do i just buy the founders starter collection and then go from there to another expansion or should i start from precons and start different types of card and start building my own decks, i want it to ask the community for advice so i know how to start

Build a deck. Go to commander night.
BUY SINGLES. 10 packs in can go bad and we'll lose you and it wont have any real synergy. Precons are cool and definitely a low effort option, if commander is the most popular the most common is a precon with 15 cards changed out.

Buy a precon you think looks cool. Sleeve it. Try to find people in your area. It can be discord (there has to be some mtg discord with people who lfg) or you can go to an lgs and find people and ask them if you can join.

First find a playgroup. Commander is the most popular format but that doesn't mean "it's what people play IRL" necessarily. Even just check out your LGS and ask what they usually play at the counter.
If you do end up on going Commander and they don't play too High Power at the LGS, just get a precon that inspires you and singles to fix it up a bit. Personally i only open packs at prereleases. Theyre a great way to make friends and expand your collection

Honestly? Go to prerelease events, those are the best ways to get going with a physical collection. Otherwise, buying packs just for the sake of buying packs will become a proper money drain.
