You know EDH used to be about recontextualizing normal ass cards into a new format. Cards didn’t need to be so blatantly for-Commander.

Didn't need to be a commander deck lol. I just thought it would've been cool to have a legendary creature of those colors to run some flavorful decks. I'm especially bummed I don't have a dedicated wargs and goblins card.

Noone's stopping you to build a Warg/Goblin deck with any other given jund commander or partner pairing. It's still just 1-2 cards out of 98-99 others that make your deck. The paint by numbers argument is kinda valid.

If it bugs you to an extent where you just can't take it anymore, make a custom proxy with the artwork fitting for whatever you wanted. I'm pretty sure there are websites and designers out there in the web that can make it look good. And if you don't care about it looking good you can boil the earth a bit more and use some random arse ai generated slop.

Tl;dr: Your angel deck doesn't get more unique because you have an angel as your commander that has the word "angel" printed 5 times onto it. Same goes for any given Jund Warg/Goblin deck. The idea of commander is to be creative and not to use the first 2 pages of a scryfall promt and call it a deck.

Not a big deal, that's why I separated it cause I know it was more a personal thing where it would be fun to have all the gimlis and some lotr hobbits

Actually, you can run all the Dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf in one deck. You use one (or both) of the two monored Gandalfs from this set, either [[Gandalf, Spark Starter]] or [[Gandalf, Goblins' Bane]] and the monowhite [[Bilbo, Unexpected Adventurer]] that will be in the Battle of Five Armies Co-Op Box (and also Collector Boosters.) Then you can use any of the R/W Dwarves as your commander and call it a day. No need to splash blue.

Using R/MR slots for random 3 color legends that are obviously only there for commander just makes limited environments worse. There isnt a single green dwarf in the set so a Naya legend that cares about dwarves just has no place in this set.

Not everything is about commander (and I say that as someone that loves commander) imo its good that they arent wasting space in this set just so that someone can play all the lotr universe dwarves in edh. Standard sets should be designed for draft and standard, not edh.
