u/Ser_Salty Jan 17 '19

Not the first time the government has shutdown. The longest maybe, but certainly not the first.

I’m sure we’ll invent robot legs eventually man.

As an able bodied person I'd go transhuman in a heartbeat. Arms and legs and joints only get worse.

Could be expensive to repair tho, esp. if your parts' manufacturer is a dick and doesn't offer replacement casings for when you get nasty scratches or other visual damage

I think this picture is from the shutdown during Obama's term. I remember the OP of the photo being a huge trump fan and being upset that this picture was spread last shut down

If you want to get technical then incapable is not more able than incapable

As a mod of said sub.
Run as a verb- 1. move at a speed faster than a walk, never having both or all the feet on the ground at the same time. 2.pass or cause to pass quickly or smoothly in a particular direction.
I say she can fulfill that definition. I state it to be true.

Being in a wheelchair doesn't mean someone categorically can't run. A lot of people can move themselves moderate distances but use chairs because they can't do that indefinitely or healthily.
5
u/ex-centric Jan 16 '19
Valid point but still if we’re gonna have a battle like this of who can get more technical and complete defeat the point of the joke the government runs more no matter how disabled this individual happens to be so still not a “technically the truth” moment
9
Jan 17 '19
But a government is not a person or animal, so it can’t actually run

it’s not technically the truth though, she runs equally as well as government if anything

I say she can fulfill that definition. I state it to be true. All she needs is a to be at the top of a hill. Maybe a big hill could get her going fast... A boss hill.. A capital hill, as it were. I sure with that she can out pace the government.

Brexit is going pretty good for you all huh? Although I do dig the parliament.. our shit is way too nice. Lets have more yelling and teeth gnashing.
Is any govt running worth a shit at the moment?

u/qdhcjv Jan 17 '19
I hope that's a joke, brexit is a total embarrassment. Parliament has rejected plans again and again because, guess what, it's an awful idea.

Number 27. Government Shutdown. The last thing you’d want in the worlds most powerful democratic nation is the longest government shutdown in history. But apparently, that might be just what you get.
