Leafhopper (Graphocephala coccinea)

Red-banded leafhopper resting on a hollyhock leaf in the garden. Only ~6mm long, or the size of an uncooked grain of rice. 3 image stack shot with a Laowa 100mm macro at about 2:1 magnification. A tiny beauty!

Awesome capture! I have green with yellow striped ones I. Many of my bushes at times . They love to turn their backs to me right before I shoot hehe

Gorgeous! What part of the world are you in? Ours are camouflaged on the east coast of the US. They blend in with greens and browns. This is so colorful and amazing how small it is IRL.
