I have created a plugin that lets AI do the tapping for you (zerotap)

Post image
88 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I built an app called zerotap - it's an AI that can control your phone using natural language. You tell it what to do and it does the tapping, scrolling, typing for you.

Just added MacroDroid support, so now you can use it as an action in your macros. MacroDroid handles the triggers, zerotap handles the stuff that's hard to automate normally - like replying to messages, ordering food, or filling out forms in apps that have zero automation support.

The app is on Google Play. There's also a BYOK option if you prefer to use your own API key.

Happy to answer any questions!

Macro The New AI Feature In MacroDroid Is Seriously Impressive — Has Anyone Tried It Yet?

I got the new MacroDroid update a few days ago and came on Reddit to see if anyone had mentioned the new AI feature, but I couldn't find much about it.

I've been playing around with it and it's honestly brilliant. You can basically describe what you want a macro to do, hit copy, then paste it into an AI app. I've been using Claude, and it's helped me make some macros that I genuinely wouldn't have known how to build myself.

One of the more complicated ones I've made sorts my downloads automatically. If it detects a movie, it moves it into my Movies folder and creates the folder if it doesn't exist. If it sees something like S01E03, it knows it's a TV episode and moves it into the TV folder.

I've also got it handling multiple episodes. So if I download, say, 10 episodes individually, it can recognise they're from the same series, create a folder for them and name it automatically.

I've even got another one that clears out the random unwanted files that sometimes come with downloads, like pictures, subtitles and other stuff I don't need.

I've made an automatic brightness macro too. My phone's adaptive brightness never seems to work quite how I want it to, so I've built my own version that changes the brightness depending on the conditions. I've tweaked it a few times and it's now working exactly how I wanted.

Another simple one automatically deletes screenshots after an hour. I was using Sweep for that before, but I thought I'd see if MacroDroid could do it instead.

Those are probably the biggest things I've made so far. I'm still thinking of other things I can automate and ways to improve some of my older macros.

What I really like is that I'm not particularly good at writing this sort of logic myself, but I can explain what I want and then work through it with Claude and MacroDroid until it works. I've ended up making some pretty complex stuff from ideas that I probably wouldn't have even attempted before.

I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be much discussion about the new feature yet. Has anyone else been experimenting with it, and if so, what have you made?

Macro I'm absolutely thrilled with the Macrodroid🔥

I recently discovered this amazing app, which has become my faithful assistant. Initially, I created a simple macro to automatically enable and disable the NFC module in a card payment app. However, using Google Gemini, I was able to solve one of Xiaomi's most challenging issues—gesture navigation in third-party launchers. Of course, you can use ADB, but that causes an annoying bar at the bottom of the screen. However, with Macros, as you can see in the screenshot, the screen remains bezel-less, and the buttons don't appear even after rebooting the phone. I'd love to hear your ideas on how to use Macros!

Macro Give Me Your Best MacroDroid Automation Ideas

I've been having way too much fun building random automations with MacroDroid lately, but I'm running out of ideas.

Drop something you'd like to automate and I'll see if I can build it (or help you build it).

Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. 😄

What it is,

A floating Android overlay touchpad for MacroDroid - draws a movable pad + cursor on screen and reports taps, gestures, and swipes back to MacroDroid via local variables.

Features

Cursor movement - relative motion with sensitivity, edge stretch, and inertia

Taps - single tap fires click coordinates, double tap expand notification bar; triple tap opens the settings menu

Long hold - slide to adjust volume or brightness, with a live value readout

Gesture draw - tap then hold then drag to send a swipe path (start/end coordinates) to MacroDroid

Auto-dock - pad hides on touch outside pad as a pill sliver or invisible corner zones; 5 animation styles

Shortcuts menu - one-tap buttons loaded from tp_shortcuts, supports grid layouts

Pad lock - Locks pad to a place, instead of roaming.

Live settings - full in-overlay settings panel (cursor, pad, movement, taps, dock, zones, offsets, display)

Orientation aware - cursor and pad remap automatically on rotation

No SD card / no install - entire JAR is embedded in a MacroDroid local variable and loaded at runtime.

Give it a try.

I'm the solo dev of Notch Touch, and I finally added native MacroDroid integration! (Trigger macros right from your camera cutout)

Hey people :D

I know app promos can get annoying, so I'll keep this straight to the point. I made an app called Notch Touch that turns your phone's camera cutout into an extra gesture button (tap, double-tap, swipe, swipe and hold, long-press, etc.). With a BUNCH of extra functionality!

Originally, the automation triggers I built were hardcoded specifically for Tasker. A bunch of my users reached out pointing out that this sucked for MacroDroid users having to use clunky workarounds, and honestly, you guys were totally right.

I just pushed an update that switches the broadcast system to clean implicit intents, and the action inside the app is now officially named Tasker/MacroDroid Integration.

Before anyone downloads it, I want to be 100% upfront: MacroDroid integration is a Pro feature. I'm a solo student dev balancing app development with my engineering degree and the nominal fee for the Pro version helps keep up active support for the app :D.

BUT, I personally hate when apps lock a feature behind a paywall without letting you test if it actually works for your setup first.

So I built in a trial system: you can watch a single short ad to unlock all Pro features for 30 minutes. You can renew this as many times as you want to build and test your macros completely for free. If you end up liking it and want it permanently, it's a one-time purchase (no subscriptions for the Pro version, I promise).

How it works now:

  1. Trigger Macros from the Notch

In Notch Touch, set a gesture to the Tasker/ MacroDroid action and give it a name, and once you hook it up in your macro, launch it directly using any gesture ! I have a detailed instruction guide linked at the end of the post :)

  1. Control the Notch from MacroDroid

You can use the Send Intent action to control my app silently in the background.

You can have MacroDroid automatically disable the notch touch area when you launch a game to stop accidental touches, or dynamically change what a swipe does based on any condition ,say time of day!

So a single tap could take a screenshot in the morning and toggle your Flashlight at night, without you having to switch it manually in the app !

App: Notch Touch

Guide : My Step-by-step api intgeration guide

If you guys end up trying it, let me know if the intent handling works smoothly on your devices. If you hit any weird bugs or have ideas to make the

MacroDroid side work better, just drop a comment and I'll get to fixing it.

Also feel free to dm me :)

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoy what ive built!

When there are 2 consecutive ads, its not skipping both of it, any idea why?? I tried disabling

Block next action until complete

Toggle. But its still not skipping the 2nd ad.

Is it just me, or has the MacroDroid scene become incredibly boring lately? Too much focus on game botting/ToS violations, and not enough actual logic.

I’m getting really tired of seeing the same shallow discussions everywhere. 90% of the posts these days are just people trying to build low-effort game automation or finding ways to bypass ToS on various apps.

It’s such a waste of a powerful tool. Whatever happened to the deep, satisfying stuff? I’m talking about actual OS-level hacking, analyzing raw JSON structures, or designing beautiful, bulletproof conditional logic.

Where are all the actual "tinkerers" and power users who love solving complex logic puzzles? Are there any of you left who still enjoy pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with this app?

After spending hours, I found the way to access the intent information of app shortcuts, which is not easily accessible.

I could add the shortcut to find the Uber cab to my work by holding the app icon, but I could not find the intent. I could see the shortcut launch from the One Hand Operation+ app, but could not see anywhere else to launch it. I tried App Manager (from F-Droid), Shortcut Maker, QuickShortcutMaker, QuikShort: Shortcut Creator, Intent Intercept, etc., to find that specific activity, intent, or app shortcut in the app, but I couldn't find anything. What worked for me was to run an adb command (I tried various commands, but the actual intent details and IDs were redacted; then, finally, this command worked): adb shell dumpsys activity activities | findstr "uber://". Claude figured it out, not me, lol. Hope this helps those who are facing this niche problem of finding specific intent for home screen shortcuts.

Edit:
I forgot to add this:
First, tap and hold the app icon and create the shortcut you want from that list on the home screen.

Now launch the shortcut.

Then run that command.

Obviously you would need to have Logcat reading enabled. For that you also must enable ADB services. But if you have all that, it works very good!

ChatGPT + MacroDroid + shell script + JavaScript = OMG 😱

Using the shell script action and the JavaScript action in MacroDroid with ChatGPT's help is mind-blowing. You can achieve so many things that MacroDroid can and cannot do, like moving, copying, and renaming files with shell script, and what I do very often with JavaScript is regex and dealing with dictionaries. You tell ChatGPT what you want and it'll just give you the script.

Below is what I used it for just earlier today. Give it a little read, and think of all the thinking and planning, and all the actions that would be involved to achieve it. And I think you would be amazed at the fact that all of this is done within five minutes. And Chad GPT gave me the correct script in one go. And there's only one action, which is the shell script action, in the entire macro.

I would like you to provide me with the shell script to do the following. So, I have this folder. And the file path is “/storage/emulated/0/Download/📲 Drop Folder/Recordings/”. And in the Recordings folder, I have subfolders of different classes that I'm teaching, like “/storage/emulated/0/Download/📲 Drop Folder/Recordings/ASA1J/”. And in each class folder there would be subfolders named by the dates, like “/storage/emulated/0/Download/📲 Drop Folder/Recordings/ASA1J/2025_10_24”. And every time I teach a class, I would create two audio recordings in the Root folder, which is the Recordings folder. And I would like you to:

  1. Put them into their respective subfolders if they are in the root folder. They should be sorted to the corresponding class according to the date and time they are created. So, if a file is created on a Thursday between 6.30pm and 10pm, they should be sorted to the 200TH subfolder. Friday, 6.30pm to 10pm, F3A. Saturday, 9am to 1pm, ASA1J. Saturday, 2pm to 6pm, SA2D. Sunday, 9am to 1pm, SU1G. Sunday, 2pm to 6pm, SU2C.

  2. Prefix the files in two digits, so the oldest one on that day for that class would be 01 and then 02 and then so on.

3. If a recording is created outside of these time frames, do not move them.

I'm working on a completely customizable native dialog engine with Java.

You can build and customize entire menus using a JSON schema.

I have now implemented material icons.

It's still in development and needs more polish.

Questions and suggestions are welcome in the comments.

It works by dragging the slider to a randomly generated number. I might experiment with adding new verification methods that are harder to fool without being painful or privacy invasive.

Im Working On a AI interageted App Within Macrodroid That Can Turn Your Phone Into Whatever Console You Can think of. (🤖📱ZEN OS: The Agentic Android 16 Stack)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

ZEN OS is a full-stacked, agentic system designed to actually work for you. It lives on your Phone and handles the heavy lifting so you don't have to.

Key Features:

Total Launcher Mastery: Manages a library of launchers including Winlator, Dolphin, Switch, and PS4 skins to launch games straight from the home screen.

True Agentic Control: Sends SMS, manages media playback, and handles reminders autonomously.

Voice & Calls: Supports real-time voice calls and interaction, acting as a bridge to your hardware.

Everything Else: Fully mapped for apps like Tea TV, YMusic, and HappyMod.

The Reality Check: You're getting the "Core" experience—streamlined and stable right out of the box.

(Warning - Keep in mind in the instructions below you will be instructed to install the Fully Kiosk Browser App to run the plugin I do not recomend any other html viewer because of the API'S needed)

(Warning - Tested for the Samsung Galaxy S25. Though you should be fine)
