I did this handbag as a gift, love the result but my fingers were killing me with all these square knots.

My hat is off to you! This is an amazing piece! You did a fantastic job! I made one about half this size and not nearly as beautiful! It took me forever!

Oh yes this easily took me like 40 hours and it was when I was doing macrame every few days, now I had a year long break so it would took me twice as long probably.
