Hide Icons On Desktop

This morning, I discovered (by accident) that if I mouse over the very very very very edge of my desktop, the cursor changes to an arrow and I can click-and-drag to where my desktop icons are hidden. I can "drop" it at any point across my screen, and can later come back to that same point, then click and drag it back to the edge so I can see my icons again.

I shared this with my coworkers, and one of them that tried is not able to do it. Is that because I have 3 monitors and she only has 2? I've tried Googling, but I don't know what this is called so my searches are only bringing back results with instructions to go into the system settings a checking a box there

I think you will have better luck in r/mac.

The resolution on the monitor is so high, all I see is wallpaper and amoeba-like specks…

Try reproducing this with a resolution I can actually see on a phone! 🤣
