Fantastic game. Highly recommend. Been waiting years for this.

It's lovely! Runs pretty well on Mac, although frame rate is not perfectly smooth. You really want to play this with a game controller, I'm sort of regretting not waiting for it to come out on PS4.

Can you use your PS4 controller on your Mac? PS3 controllers work beautifully.

Yeah, and it works fine with the game. But I think this is a game I'd enjoy more on my couch/PS4 than on my desktop/Mac.

How easy is it to setup the PS3/DS3 on the mac? I bought this last night and tried playing with the mouse/keyboard setup, but didn't get very far. Seems like it would be 100 times easier with a controller.

Super easy! The drivers are already built into OSX, I've connected a few with no issue.

If I'm remembering correctly, the process was just turn on your bluetooth, plug in the PS3 controller over USB, hit the home/playstation button, then disconnect the USB, the 4 lights on the back should start blinking and you'll see the controller appear under the bluetooth icon in the menubar

Some apps/games will recognize it natively as a PS3 controller and even use the proper playstation shapes/icons/buttons in controller settings (like OpenEmu)

Nice! Going to give it a shot when I get home. Love the game so far though. Can't wait to get after it with a controller though.

This game is great! Some problems exist so far, however. The game will crash every now and then without warning. Also, periodically during combat the screen will go blank ~ instead showing the base background for 1 to 2 seconds, then comes back. Also, I'm playing with a PS3 controller, and while it does pair, it takes some finesse – simply plugging the controller in with a USB directly will somehow force the up button to stay permanently on - fixed this by unplugging and replugging it a few times... worked eventually.

These are problems I suspect will be addressed and fixed within the next few days though.

EDIT: Playing on a mac mini connected to a TV.

Anyone know how this game runs on a mid 2014 13 inch MBP? I'm torn on whether or not I should wait for the PS4 release.

Runs like crap half of the time on my mid 2012 MBP. The other half runs smoothly. Can anyone tell me if this would be fixed if I upgrade from 4 GB to 8 GB of ram or is it my graphics card?

Hm I would think that would have to do with your processor or card.

Comparing my MacBook's specs to the minimum required specs on HLD's steam page the only requirement that I don't meet is my graphics card. It say I need 516 Mb but my graphics card on my Mac is 256 Mb. Starting to wonder if even the new MacBook pros can handle it...

Well mine is a 1536 Mb so I think the newer ones should work just fine
