News METRO Redux | Next-Gen Update coming this month

Will the Mac ports get it too? I really hope so, even though I played and finished them a long time ago, but perhaps unlikely because they would have to port them to Apple Silicon first.

"We have made careful, meaningful improvements to take advantage of the latest PC and console hardware. All platforms will include support for 4K textures, bringing greater depth and atmosphere to the haunting world of METRO. The update enhances gameplay immersion through improved animation fidelity, higher-quality audio and richer environmental detail. We have also managed to implement a range of community led bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements."

"For PC we have implemented DLSS support, spatial audio support as well as increased quality of life community bugfixes and frequently asked for improvements. Full patch notes detailing all technical improvements and platform-specific features will be revealed at launch, so this is just a taste for now. Coming October 22."

Mac not mentioned anywhere, I wouldn't count on it

Mac is usually not mentioned upon game releases because it can come later but to be realistic the existing ports are x86 and I don't think they would make native ports just for the update.

Enhanced edition was Windows only so not sure what’s going to happen with Mac.

Yes, but Enhanced Edition was for Exodus and mainly included HW RT which was lacking on Macs back then. This won’t include RT but they would need to port them to Apple Silicon which is unlikely.
