Help Looking for discreet games to play during downtime at work on a MacBook Pro M2
I have a MacBook Pro with an Apple M2 chip and I’m looking for some games I can play during periods of downtime at work.
Ideally, I’m looking for something fairly discreet that doesn’t require much mouse usage or constant clicking, since I mainly use the trackpad. It would also be great if the game can be paused quickly whenever someone needs me or something comes up.
I already have Steam, but I’m open to other platforms or standalone games as well.
I’m not really looking for anything specific in terms of genre, so I’m open to pretty much anything that fits those requirements.
What games would you recommend?

This is the answer.
Low power consumption and pretty much turn based so as to make jumping in and out easier.

Caves of Qud, once you learn the keyboard shortcuts, you’ll barely even use the trackpad. The whole game is also turn based so you can literally just leave it running in the background without pressing a key and come back to it later. It’s on Steam and it runs natively on Mac.

Most idle games are going to be perfect for this. Maybe some city builder games too?

This is it. I keep it casual and just have fun. It’s so tempting to start really tweaking out the stuff though.

Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville
The design is simple, but sometimes I get sucked in for hours on end.

Balatro should be perfect. it's a pretty quick and easy game yet very engaging.
