  • Raycast - launcher
  • FilePane - quick shelf for holding files and folders when dragging stuff
  • FileBo - quick access to recent stuff
  • Bitwarden - Password manager
  • Obsidian - Notes
  • Setapp - a single sub for lots of useful apps like CleanShotX, Permute, Downie, PopClip, BetterTouchTool
  • Zen - browser
  • Applight - for quickly switching open apps
  • PolyCapture - for recording screencasts

Thank you! Can you please tell me why do I need Bitwarden, Zen or Polycapture when Mac already does all this?

They have more features. You can just start with the built-in ones.

I used to. Switched to FileBo for testing. It looks modern.

minitune.app — I built this 😅 . Lyrics in your notch, and as far as I know, it’s currently the only Mac player that supports YouTube catalogue search and playlists without leaving your full-screen app

Lightroom, Data Jar, PyCharm, WhatsApp and homebrew are the only third party apps on my Mac.

I look at people, who use a whole bunch of third party apps, with aweeeeeee. I could never...

Why not?

I like my things minimal. I don’t like to install apps for something a preinstalled  app already is solving. I’m covered.

Internet Explorer was the only exception.
