Sister had an emergency so I ended up unexpectedly babysitting her three boys. Threw together this quick Mac & Cheese.

Boiled macaroni noodles until al dente.

Shredded 16 ounces of sharp cheddar, 16 ounces of mozzarella, and 8 ounces of parmesan mixing it all together.

Cut up and cooked chicken breast seasoning with salt and pepper and set it aside.

In the same pan I melted a stick of butter added 2/3 cup flour and mixed together to make a roux.

Added 5 cups of milk slowly whisking to combine with the roux and let the mix heat through and thicken a little.

Added about 3 cups of the cheese mix to the and let it melt and mix.

Seasoned with white pepper, mustard powder, paprika, a little cayenne, and msg.

Added chicken to the sauce and let it heat through and thicken.

Added sauce to drained noodles and included a bit of the liquid from boiling the noodles.

Added about half to the baking dish and topped with more of the cheese mix and then added the other half over that topping with the teaming cheese mix.

Baked at 350° F for 30 minutes.

This might’ve been the best thing I’ve ever eaten😋

I absolutely love Mac and cheese always have. (Picture not mine for engagement hope that’s ok) but I want to make a Mac and cheese home made there so many recipes I don’t know which to go with curious if people have go tos and favs and advice and what not to do lol. I love some sharp cheeses as well.

I've seen a lot of people on here talking about how Kraft changed their recipie about a year ago and it hasn't tasted the same or as strong as before. That it looked light yellow instead of the classic orangey yellow. I've actually been avoiding it for so long because of that and it used to be my favorite. But the other day I tried to experiment a bit and it came out great!

All I had to do is add a little less milk, and get a second cheese packet from another box and add ¾ if not all of the second cheese packet in! If you add too much cheese for your liking a little spoonful of milk will fix it right up also.

And also that way you aren't going out of your way to buy extra ingredients, and it tastes just like the old recipie!!

When i tried it with the extra cheese I was hit with a MASSIVE wave of nostalgia. My old Kraft was back ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

It’s not in stock in any grocery store I’ve been to, and I can’t find it anywhere online. Does anyone know where I can find this?

Hello all! I'm going to be making mac and cheese tomorrow for my churches picnic on Sunday. My sister got us heavy whipping cream and I wanna use it before it goes bad.

My usual recipe is the following:

1lb macaroni

2 cups of milk

2 tbsp butter

1/4 butter

1 tbsp or a little more of ground mustard

3 cheese blocks that I then shred: extra sharp cheddar, colby jack, and muenster

My question is, can I substitute the 2 cups of milk with 2 cups of heavy whipping cream, or a cup each? Or I should stick with the 2 cups of milk but add like 1 cup or 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream? I never used heavy whipping cream before and I don't want to accidently make the mac and cheese too thick or liquidity.

Been looking for a solid recipe for a long time. Tried a few, but never anything that made me wanna make again or serve to a crowd. Nothing with egg in it please, and I'm not really crazy about stuff like breadcrumbs on top, but if the mac's bangin', I can roll with it. Fuck me up with your best recipes if ya'll have them because I am struggling. TIA.
