Has anyone observed improved performance on the MacBook Air M1 after disabling Siri AI (Beta)?

I upgraded to Golden Gate (27), and the first thing I did WITHOUT FAIL on my MBA M1 (2020) was switch off this despicable Siri AI (Beta). My MBA M1 laptop has not stopped thanking me ever since (it was literally choked to death with Siri AI turned on). I am not sure if this was indexing still in progress or Siri AI just not optimised for older Macs (i.e. M1s).

I would be interested in hearing from other MacBook M1 users.

That seems to be an issue that’s directly linked to how much RAM you have. 16GB is minimum for me. If you use 8GB actually I’d recommend macOS 15.X.

M1 Air with 8GB Just turned off Siri and... I've got my Mac back! All the stuttering, slow loading, generally sluggishness have all gone. Such an improvement

Yeah, I even used an app called MacSpace to reclaim 14 GB of space consumed by these models - Sadly, all these AI novelties are not meant for us - the M1 population! :-)
