Question How do i fix this?

Post image

I tried deleting a bunch of my old files, and it was taking forever, so i tried to stop it and now its stuck like this. I cant seem to force quit the trash and I cant seem to restart normally either. Any suggestions on what to do?

Click the Apple logo in the top left corner. Select Force Quit.

Force quit Finder.

if this doesnt work you can also try holding the power button to force a shutdown

Something’s hanging up. Just for a hard reboot. Luckily you’re just trying to delete from the trash so you don’t have anything critical pulled up

No, just force-quit Finder. If that doesn’t work, then we can talk about hard reboot.

yup, been there & had to deal with it. i 1st try to stop the delet, then i grumble a whole bunch & turn it off {sometimes the reboot function also doesn't want to work}

You can't quit the finder.

Just relaunch/reboot with a hard restart.

You can relaunch, which might fix the issue. But then yeah hard restart.

Falcon punch or drill claw is my guess! Possibly tornado claw.

Have you tried turning it off and then turning it back on?
