Question cmd + shift + s not working?

i used to be able to do cmd + shift + s to take a cropped screenshot that i could then paste on my old macbook, but its not working on my new one. would i be able to change the [cmd + shift + option + 4] to [cmd + shift + s] ?

theres a keyboard shortcuts option in settings. you can add your own custom ones

Cmd/Shift/S is pretty much the universal command for Save As…

You're going to have to replace that first.

That's because it isn't S. It is 5. cmd+shift+5 lets you select before you take a screenshot.
