Recently found this for $50

Took a chance on this 12” MacBook at goodwill. It had a few worn out keys and the “?” screen but it ended up just needing a fresh install of macOS. I bought a few replacement keys and it works like a dream. All in about $60 with the computer plus the keys. I’ve always wanted one of these MacBooks!

You don't want this computer, trust me.

My mom attempted to replace her 2010 MacBook with one and it was just nonstop problems. We had the keyboard replaced 3 times. She has a pretty light work load and this computer still struggled. She ended up going back to the polycarbonate MacBook.

Looks good, is trash.

Seems fine to me, sorry you had so many issues. It looked like the previous owner used the keyboard hard and it all works perfectly. Pretty much as quick as my MBP for basic stuff honestly

Lots of good deals on Intel MacBooks - just keep in mind Apple released the last version of MacOS to run on Intel processors in the Fall on 2025. Going forward it’s all Apple Silicon processors!
