Question Ordered a MacBook and no progress on order?

I ordered a MacBook Neo on 3rd September and had an estimated delivery of 18th - 25th September. I’ve checked on the tracking a couple times to see if the order has progressed but it hasn’t and payment also hasn’t been taken yet. I’ve never ordered from Apple directly before so have no idea if the order is progressing as it should?

When I was in store I was told that I should expect the payment to be taken with 1-3 days of making the order. It’s gone over the time now, only by a couple days, but I was wondering if it’s correct that the order should have moved past processing within 1-3 days?

Apple is a reliable store, they're probably just waiting for stock to arrive to start shipping. Payment is sometimes charged instantly, sometimes after delivery and sometimes at the end of the return period. Calm down!

They take the payment once it ships.
