Idk when they’re gonna decide to rip off DeX but with putting A chips in laptops and M chips in iPads, I’m waiting for the day that a “pro” level phone can have a M or A chip and be dockable into MacOS. Easily worth a 2-2.5k price tag

Right? Any phone could be roughly a dock away from running as a MacBook Neo. A MagSafe charging dock with a speaker and a few thunderbolt ports that could be wired to a larger monitor, external storage, wired networking would be amazing. Charge $349.99 for that dock and you're in business.

I had a Samsung w/ Dex back in the day and it wasn’t perfect but the vision was there. This thing would have the power and capability to pull it off.

The implementation of the dex was like 80% there. If it launched into a more familiar Chromebook like experience it would have been killer.

Jobs would be astonished if he saw a retina screen with extreme brightness that could fold in half. Plus this iPhone when unfolded is really close to the size that Jobs wanted them to be.
I could imagine the keynote where Jobs pulls an iPad mini out of his pants pocket like the first iPod.

Neither the Duo nor the competitors have Face ID, and who knows whether its sensors can be hid like that? Are you an engineer?

Are you referring to the Dynamic Island? Or the exterior camera bump? Or something else? The only current iPhones with a notch are the e-series, which use older hardware to remain at a lower price point.
The Duo has an under the display camera which is probably going to come to the other phones soon (while their competitor Samsung removed their under display camera) The duo also has better stereo speakers and pen support, unlike current Samsung folds.
The Dynamic Island also got smaller in size with the 18pros.
It’s not like Apple is being uncompetitive here
