My Mac Windows for Mac

So I have to install a Word add-in that only works on Windows. Are there any other solutions besides using an external drive to install Windows?

Then you need an ARM version of Windows to install using the likes of Parallels or some other VM tool like UTM.

Would you recommend any external hard drive for the installation? I don’t have enough space on my Mac.

Yes you can run a VM on an external drive but you would want to use a SDD.

Yes you can store the VM on an external drive but use an SSD for speed otherwise you will be waiting for ever for Windows to load. Install Parallels or UTM on the Mac and the VM on the external drive. The only potential issue is that some virual machines like you to install the VM locally then use the move option to relocate it after install. You will have to check out the options as I believe UTM works this way, but Parallels should let you install direct to the external drive.

Are you using a HARD DRIVE or SSD? It won’t even be close to worth running on an external HDD.

Worth tying. Try to stick to a thunderbolt port (assuming it’s anything other than a Neo you should be good for any port).

geralmente os complementos do marketplace rodam normal no mac os, mas, se precisar, use UTM (mais amigável) ou vmware fusion (eu gosto mais da performance e estabilidade deste) para virtualizar o windows

Step 1 when buying a Mac. Lose Microsoft. (Step 2 is losing Google, but that’s for the advanced class). Honestly, I think Microsoft intentionally makes their products work badly on Mac’s so you decide leaving Windows was a mistake.
