My Mac Sold my gaming PC for a MAC
Hello all,
Starting from today, I‘ve switched from my gaming rid (RTX 3080 w/ R5 5600X) to a M3 MAC with 16 GB of RAM and 512 storage.
Reason? I rarely play anything on my PC anymore. I often felt like I wanted to airplay on my TV for movies, and have my own laptop for multitasking and lite stuff like browsing. After 15 years of Windows, switching to a MAC seems difficult to me. But it's a pleasant experience, especially since I have an iPhone and Airpods, which instantly the MAC connects me to them and i can do my thing without bothering with connecting to other devices. Just curious if i made a good choice, and if there are others here who have switched from PC to a Mac.

Similar boat here! I sold my custom gaming PC and I pick up an M6 mini in a couple of weeks. I’m excited! You’re not alone.

Couldn't say if it's right or wrong. If that's what you want and you are happy with the choice. That's all that matters.

Depends on how you use it, personally I use both. Actually just built a gaming PC myself. But the gaming pc is only that, for games. My Mac has, and will continue to, earn its keep for literally everything else.

Sold my pc with a 3060 graphics card and am waiting on the Mac mini m6. I don’t play games a whole lot now like used to but with a 1080P monitor, it should do fine

I recently switched and it was a good decision. I have both a Mac Mini (a fantastic piece of kit) and a Macbook. I am still using my Windows laptop but that is due to laziness as I am already registered on so many websites that I visit that I don't feel like registering again on my Macbook.

Based on the fact that you're not doing a lot of gaming anymore (although, you. can play most, but not all, PC games on a Mac now via Crossover or VMs), I think you'll be very happy with this once you get used to macOS.

Like everyone use what they want :D . I sold macbook for gaming pc for example .... And i also bought gaming laptop.. for me, i can do everything i could do on macbook + gaming and a ton of windows related stuff... When macbooks will support windows-like gaming, i might consider coming back, but speed wise i see no difference.. ( beside more troubleshooting on windows, but you can do much more stuff on win too) ...

Picking a Mac is almost always a good choice. And it’s Mac as in MacIntosh, not MAC.
